I recently got a bed from here, not too expensive and great quality and their mattresses are lovely :)

  • I'm a total convert to the superking bed, and if you get a zip-together one you can each have your own mattress softness. And they're much easier than getting one MAHOOSIVE mattress into and around the house and stairs!

Just thought you might like to know that on the Oxf*m website they are selling fair trade wool in their sale - looks nice but don't know the details. And if I don't get a chance before the day - Nadolig Llawen :)

Rather belatedly Happy New Year all!

Christmas whooshed by in a veritable whirlwind thanks to DD1 having croup swiftly followed by a week with the M-I-L and a week with the wrinklies. Life is just returning to normal now that we're all back at school. Didn't feel very Christmassy at all this year and the sales were super naff (with the exception of East) so spending has been minimal (again with the exception of a splurge at East). I embraced my inner barbie doll, had a haircut, bought a dress and a skirt and a few clingy tops which heraladed the start of a major mid life crisis (yes another one) and so being delivered today are a pair of these.

As if thats not ad enough my inner domestic goddess has been unleashed and I'm mid cleaning frenzy. It won't last but for the moment its nice to be doing something that isn't watching archaic films on the telly box and scoffing chocolate.

Moneywise we're still teetering on the red/black seesaw. But we're getting closer to being back in the black permanently. Still failing to meal plan but after a spectacular cupboard clear out I can at least get all my dry food stores into the giant larder without overflowing into every available space. Even then I probably have enough pasta to last three months. Meanwhile theres still not enough storage space in the house. The upstairs hall is covered in carp. I cleared out a wardrobe and found four laptop cases. We no longer own a laptop. That wore out some time ago. Plans for the next week involve much more decluttering, several trips to the charity shop and much reorganisation of the house. Should keep me busy for a bit then.

My master plan involves spending my morning PC time leaping up and down in front of the Wii but I've yet to find the pre-dawn enthusiasm for that. Its hard enough not munching M&Ms from the x-mas dispenser before breakfast without resorting to exercise too.

Hope the dog turned up safely TPA.
