Ummmm. They arrived faulty. I tried them on. Realised I looked like a prat (no surprise there) and rapidly returned them from whence they came.

Happy new year moo. I too didn't feel very christmasy this year. Not sure why really. I would also love to have my domestic goddess unleashed, but she is hiding very far away at the moment. Sigh. It would be nice, just once, if someone else saw the mess and thought I will tidy that.......

:rotfl: guess that's an advantage of a flat small enough that I only have to plug the hoover in once... when it gets warm it stays warm. Have still been taking any excuse to stay under duvet but get rudely nagged by small mog who has noticed that hitting me in the face with a paw tends to wake me up

Ugh. The Halifax have finally got wise to people paying in a grand a month only to withdraw it immediately in order to claim a free fiver. They've revised the rules and reduced it to £750 but with 2 different monthly direct debits. Have opened on-line savings accounts with both ING and the Post Office and arranged monthly direct debits of £1 into each. Yes, I know it sounds a bit bonkers but its taken ten minutes to do and will continue to net me £60 a year.
Off to manically clean the house before the OH returns from a long weekend away and discovers that I've fed the kids archaic dross (cupboard decluttering and shopping avoidance) and neglected the house to build snowmen and sledge.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Did you get a snow day Moo? We had one on Friday then a half one today - which IMO was not necessary but I didnt complain - it will be clawed back at some point and then people will complain!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
