Yet more financial faux pas and many other disasterous decisions

In the end I managed to redeem £17 worth of vouchers at Mr Ts, the rest are valid for another few days so I may well investigate the double up promotions as I have clubcard vouchers coming out of my ears. I've already spent some on RAC cover but still have something approaching £100 worth to use.
Stocked up on heaps of stuff thanks to a raft of sensible promotions on stuff I'd normally buy. Even got a couple of christmas gifts (shocked? yep me too, I'm not usually that organised) and new winter duvets for the demonic daughters and still came out with a bill under £100. Bit gutted to walk through the door to a giant x-mas tree. Hellloooooo its November. Bonfire nights not out of the way yet. Kinda spoils the whole christmas thing when its rammed down your throat for two months before the actual event.
Unsurprisingly I overdid it and came home feeling completely wiped out. Spent the afternoon reading and snoozing, mostly snoozing. Planning a day of much nothingness today in the hopes of being sufficiently recovered for everything that next week will throw at me.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

My first date with the OH, he bought me a box of biscuits!
5 years later he is still as romantic as a wet fish :-)0 -
I wouldn't mind a box of biscuits
Would beat the windscreen wipers I got for my birthday - wrapped too:eek:

I've been the lucky recipient of a microwave (Christmas), a Raclette (Birthday), a food processor (Christmas) and a hairdryer (birthday). I can't cook and I never ever ever dry my hair. Ever.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
So yesterday we decided that the time had come to replace the double glazing. This morning the company we used for the last lot called to quote. On friday they're coming back to measure with a view to fitting them at the end of the month. Talk about a whirlwind. The quote is marginally less than the amount I have in my savings account which is most fortuitous really.
Between making the phonecall yesterday afternoon and them arriving today I have blitzzed every room with dodgy windows which menas the house is remarkably tidy. The postie has just been bringing with him Sock Innovation (a book of sock patterns) and a set of teeny circular sock needles. No prizes for guessing what I'll be doing this afternoon.
I handed over the owl and x-mas tree hats to their new owners which gained another four orders for hats. Will need to venture into the hallowed halls of hobbycraft for more yarn tomorrow, a minor detour from the posh but pricey shop that the knitting group meet in.
And finally I love, love, love the Book People. Not only was my last purchase half the price of Amazon with free delivery and Quidco cashback but because it arrived a teeny bit damaged at a house elsewhere in the village having been repackaged by the delivery company they're sending me another copy and I get to keep the orignal to donate to charity.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Having a truly insane week. Leaving work long enough to eat and sleep in the hopes of being ready for inspection. Happy but knackered. I'd like to say its stopping me spending but thats not true. At least all the overtime will cover my many splurges.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
