Glad to hear all went well -I ended up back in hospital on Tuesday night _pale_ Once they eliminated meningitis and a stroke they sent me home at 2am - more drugs to try:( Feel like a walking pharmacy - actually feel like shoite and am remaining firmly stuck to sofa. Cant concentrate long enough to do anything else

Eek that sounds awful and rather scary.

Oh yes indeedy. I have watched most of the second half of Greys Anatomy and knitted a christmas tree hat. I've also read two books and done very little else. Can't shift the headache but its niggly rather than full blown irritating.

THe demonic daughters had a fab time but are glad to be home. Thier grandparents stayed overnight. Granny cleaned the kitchen. The entire kitchen. Cupboard fronts, inside the fridge and even the oven. Couldn't be bothered arguing.

    Hello lurker!

Cat hat patterns are available free from Ravelry. They're intended for kids but you can make an adult sized one by casting on 104st using 4.5mm DPNS or circulars and 2x2 rib for an inch. Knit for 7" and then decrease each round by k10, k2tog... K9, k2tog until you're left with 5 stitches it works v. well.

I'm debating supersizing one to fit over a riding hat just because I can and I'm bored and I hate being ill.

So plans for today involve leaving the house for the first time in almost a week. The DDs have a riding lesson, the spinning books I ordered need collecting from the library and if I don't venture into a supermarket we'll all starve to death. Of course that falls into the category of overdoing it but needs must and all that.

In brighter news I am now capable of eating solids. Whooooo hooooo. Obviously not chocolate based solids but solids nevertheless. Which is just as well really as trying to do anything on a stomach full of liquidised slop was leaving me exhausted. Four days to go until I can have caffeine.

    I don't need one, I don't need one, I don't need one :D

Hope you're feeling better missus, I've been absent from MSE for a while due to having some cash and having fun spending it, but it's back on the wagon for me now. Look forward to hearing about your escapades. Xx

You don't need one. Nor do you need a shawl named bigger on the inside covered in Dr Who tardises or a tardis doorstop or any of a gazillion other things.... a cow pyjama case on the other hand.... well what boudoir is complete without one?

Glad you're out there having fun :)

My plans for today involve traumatising some poor cashier at Mr Ts as I have £26 off a variety of spends and I'm going to use the lot and argue the toss when they point out that they expect me to spend £90 and £80 and £60 and £40 in four separate transactions each week for the next two months in order to take full advantage of the deluge of mail they keep shoving through my letter box.

  • Hi moo, glad your feeling brighter.

When i have loads of vouchers I always pick the checkout that a young male spotty youth is working on, they couldn't give a toss how many vouchers they are given and i've never had any bother, yet go to a checkout with a middle aged lady and she will scrutinize every bl**dy voucher before getting a supervisor over, god i hate T£sco.

Not a T*sco fan here too! Its my weekly challenge to find something to make them earn their ridiculous profits.......:) This week however it can be done with very little effort - so far we have bought about £240 of wine for £36 because of their wine offers...................! I find the 'indifferent youth ' also just hand a a 'wodge ' of vouchers - schools or cutlery ones they hare peddling at the moment without checking how much you have spent. Also they dont ask for them back when you buy the thing you are saving them for. Hence I managed a load of kitchen knives with the same 10 vouchers on about 4 occasions :)

    Glad you feeling better Moo

Tesco have a mega wine glitch. The 25% off promotion applies prior to all other promotions so the £5.99 buy 3 for £12 wines went through the till with an additional £4.50 discount. The equivalent of £3 per bottle :) Have hidden them from the OH.
