Congratulations! Hopefully thats means a little more job security for you. Eek to having to pack up whilst writing end of year reports and doing all the usual tat.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
It rained. All sodding day. Humph. Didn't even get as far as unpacking in order to buy the screws needed to build the shed. Hoping the OH gets home really early today so we can make a start. The sooner its up the sooner I can straighten out another big chunk of house.
Used the time to do insane amounts of housework purely because I don't have the right size kntting needles to make the handbag. Spent the evening on the shawl instead. Have 35 rows to go before I start the edging. At the rate I'm going thats a little over a week away. Might have enough yarn to squeeze out one more repeat which adds another 2 inches and 12 rows, after that theres the small matter of 54 rows of edging and its finished. All of which adds up to about 3 weeks worth of knitting. Made the mistake of trying it when I wasn't really concentrating and royally screwed up. Fudged it rather than pulling back 3". It all adds to the uniqueness of it.
Came home from school kettled after discovereing we have a visit from the pre-inspection team tomorrow which meant much polishing of trophies and random tat busting. V. glad the new cleaner started yesterday otherwise I wouldn't have made it home before dark.

Thanks for the Screwfix tip Moo :A - popped in there on the way back from work this evening. Desk blokes were very helpful after seeing my face pale at the rows and rows of little drawers from floor to ceiling :rotfl: so now have window pole hook and will be off to B&Q tomorrow for a stick to put it on.
Can't open the skylight in this weather of course, but still hoping :rotfl:
