LOL But what about us poor parents who have paid up we get the tat too :rotfl:

I have bag kit envy Moo and you are one person on MSE that I was so wrong about what you looked like - just goes to show :D

    DTxx

I have bag kit envy too. I haven't got the right size needles so its pointless me opening it. I was hoping to have it finished by now... although I did read as far as the bit involving the sewing machine and the 3D bag liner with ironed seams..... I might be phoning a friend for that bit.

As for my appearance, well, I can only assume you've seen the corporate mug shot. It ain't pretty but it does make me look much younger thanks to fab lighting and a very persistant photographer. Most days I have much madder hair and a lot more wrinkles.

End of term reports done during half term ;) Kids mobilsed to do packing up being bribed by giving them loads of tat to take home - that will teach the parents who have not paid their snack/trip/dinner money:rotfl: 4 weeks to go:j:j

Thats v. well organised. My lot will wait until the last day of term and send the kids home with carrier bags full of tat to prevent parents returning it. How come you've only got four weeks to go? We've got five. Humph. Its so not fair..... more importantly I should know that because DD1 goes to school in the same county as you and I was pretty sure she finished a day before DD2 instead of a week before..... eeeeeek must go consult the diary.

Meanwhile the shed is still tightly packaged up on the driveway and given the weather forecast its likely to stay there for quite some time which is most infuriating. I'm itching to get tidying and reclaim some house from the evil clutches of man junk.

DD1 has decided she wants to grade this weekend too which means another £65 of insurance and exam fees to pay. Will be living on baked beans on toast at this rate. I feel a monsterous store cupboard challenge coming on, unfortunately this will be based on pulses which doesn't exactly fill me with enthusiasm. I've eaten one too many inedible nut roasts at Grannys.

Judicious use of training days which turned into twilights - the only thing our leader is good at - using the system to suit their flights;):D

Having a !!!!!!! men moment. Admitedly its all my own fault but even so.... I've done far too good a job of training the OH which is why I'm currently wearing a bit of carrier bag lined with a folded travel tissue which is held in place with a bit of not really double sided sticky tape instead of my usual expensive girlie item with wings. Apparently these are marketed as Morrisons Saver range of girlie products but I suspect a two year old let loose on the nursery craft table could come up with something more functional. Am only glad that the request was for a very specific brand of girlie things with wings and not something that could be substituted by a few cotton wool balls attached to a bit of dental floss and stuffed inside a McDonalds straw.

Today will be starting with a visit to a shop, any shop, the instant one opens.

    Rant over.

Its still raining. So no shed building today. Humph. Getting bored of tidying without seeing any real progress, although I did find enough floor in Land Rover land to make it worthwhile mopping in there. It looks marginally better. Although nothing like it will once I can finally get shut of all the tat to the shed at the bottom of the garden.

Its free listing on fleabay all weekend but I think I've finally run out of stuff to list, either that or I've done such a good job of hiding it that even I can't find it.

Its almost a year since I started this chapter of the diary so I figured it was about time I reviewed my goals... well its that or housework and I'm not bored enough to do that.... rather surprisingly I've managed most of them
    • To be sub 5K by Christmas Done
    • To have the sort of house where the unexpected arrival of someone on the doorstep doesn’t leave me having palpitations (although toilet training the OH is critical to this particular plan) House isn't bad, still working on OH
    • To have more fun and spend more time doing things with the DDs Most definately achieved
    • To grow more veg although this does involve weeding which I detest I have spuds, admitedly self sprouting from the ones I missed last year, but they're a veg and they're growing in the veg patch... does that count?
    • To spend less time and money in supermarkets Oh yes. Hence this mornings rant.
    • To be debt free by 37 which allows for a new roof and the replacement of OHs car Have money in the bank to cover this
    • To have a hobby. Any hobby. And find the time to do it. I now have several and I make a point of doing them regularly
    • To learn to run and then complete the Marathon des Sables and the Tough Guy Challenge Nobodys perfect
    • To improve my Welsh so I can say something other than Gallau mynd i'r ty bach os gwelwch yn dda? Theres an evening class at DD1s school starting in September on the only night that the DDs don't have anything on so I'm going to splurge a whopping great £22 and book a place on that.
Suppose I'll have to come up with some new challenges for the next 12 months. Decorating will feature rather heavily in the plans alongside damp proofing the house and fitting windows that you can see out of rather than fogged up double glazing with mould in the cavity between the two panes of glass.

I don't know quite what I was expecting but it certainly wasn't that.

LOL perhaps that introduction was a bit too subtle, should have quoted your earlier post... people have mixed reactions to the idea so was trying not to start a debate!
