and here is me complaining about how long the back of my jacket is taking....lol
wow about the shed saga. I would be asking for money off for time wasted and hassle factor.I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

In theory the shed is being delivered on Saturday, or perhaps Sunday or maybe next Monday. The company we're getting it from are clueless and have screwed up in just about every way possible from undercharging in the first place, to forgetting to add the delivery cost to the invoice but adding that delivery was included in the overall price and now they seem hell bent on building it for us despite us not paying for that either. Will be ecstastic if it arrives at all. If it wasn't for the simple fact that I wouldn't get anything like it at anything like what we're paying I'd have told them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine a month ago.
At least its meant I haven't had to spend my child free week treking back and forth with boxes of tat getting more and more annoyed with the stuff thats being kept that really should be in the bin. Instead I've almost finished two dead fishies, just the small matter of six fins and four eyeballs to go. The shawl has grown by another 2" all round and I'm a good chunk of the way through a novel. Its been surprisingly relaxing. I'm still pottering round the house doing bits and pieces so thats getting a teeny bit tidier too.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

That lacework is impressive! It would look lovely as a tunic top over a camisole and trousers for an evening out - hint hint....
I can't believe how ineffective the shed company are, surely if they said delivery was included in the price they can't then add it on later? I

Hint duly notedIts the evening out bit that leaves me confused, I haven't had one of those for a very long time.
Shed company are indeed useless. They won't be getting any more money than we agreed to in the first place. I'm already having to refer them to their own Ts & Cs which allow them to deliver without any more money despite what the head of customer relations says.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Hellllooooo. Hows tricks? You've been rather quiet recently. How 's your mum doing?
The OHs forays into the land of the tea-total were short lived. Again. hes being much less of a git this time around.
Debt freedom came about rather unexpectedly I'm still getting used to the idea and behaving like we're on the breadline just in case the money disappears as rapidly as it materialised. It won't but...... just in case.
Meanwhile have masacred the hedge between downpours and done rather alot of knitting. Have already reached the halfway point of the shawlette but have tons and tons of yarn left so will be making it muchly bigger.... but not so big that I run out of yarn before finishing it.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
*sigh*
I have purple highlights.
Not the cool and funky highlights that come from a trip to the salon of exotica but the sort that come from a can of industrial strength metal paint and which refuse to budge which leaves me with a jaunty quiff all too much like that of Jedward. Note to self: do not paint fencing in galeforce wind.
I've tried washing it, I've tried liberally caking my hair in white spirits but its all too firmly dried on. An emergency crew cut may well be on the cards. Its not even like I can do it myself because I can't get a hairbrush through it so theres no way I'll get the clippers through it. Going to give it 24 hours and see if it dries hard enough to crack and come off in little bits. I'm not holding out much hope though because its the sort of stuff that sticks to anything and stays stuck for quite some time.
More scarily it shows just how grey my hair is.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
