Sorry, moo, but I think it's going to be really difficult not to spend any money at a food festival. I know, for a fact, I couldn't:o I'd hoover my way round eating everything available and buying up the delicious stuff. I'd be seriously out of pocket....think the pockets might be a bit tight too, I'd come away with at least 2lbs...

Oh yes I see it now. The Queen wanders into Harrods and announces to the salesperson " One requires a Titty Bag".

You're not allowed to skulk. Active participation is required, otherwise you have to put up with me waffling away to myself.
Meanwhile my day has gone spectacularly well. I repaired five faulty vacuum cleaners for a variety of reasons..... the one labelled not sucking was bagless and shouldn't have been. The one which kept cutting out had a large chunk of cable missing thanks to its operator shutting it in a door and the others look like they were savaged by rottweilers which means the cleaners trapped the cable round a wheel and dragged them about for quite some time.
Meanwhile the rather tasty fence repairing handyman was called upon to assist with a spot of plumbing of the do it very quickly so as not to flood the entire place because we can't completely shut the water off variety. Obviously the boss chose to walk through the door part way through a conversation, one which saw me admiring the snake protruding from the chaps trousers. Turns out this was in fact the tail of a dragon, an easy mistake to make when viewed from below whilst holding a bucket, wishing you hadn't worn a white t-shirt and manky off white sports bra and ferverently hoping you wouldn't end up looking like a reject from a wet t-shirt contest.
Have issued OH with a list of things to do before his bro arrives ranging from the dehairing of the house to the purchasing of milk and the retrieval of the offspring from the stables.
Meanwhile I have to return to work to attempt to transform it into something vaguely less disaster zone and more haven of learnig than it is at present. Considering the carpet fitters are a no show this is rather unlikely, still I need to show willing.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Hoping for lots of free samples and plan to take a picnic so as to avoid forking out a small fortune for lunch. Am rather glad that I have a generous interest free, fee free overdraft as a safety net cos I'm going to need it.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

A good idea on the free samples you might not even need the picnic !

You made me giggle ... titty handbag....he he he:):) I bet Queenie would find that very funny.
You are still moving at bionic woman speed missus. Hope you get a chance for a rest over the holidays and enjoy your Easter Moo. Heading to England today and am so looking forward to it. Hope the weather is good."You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"C. S. Lewis

Spent yesterday attempting to start a blog. Not for me I hasten to add but for the OHs bro who is doing a charity fundraiser and needs a way to raise a substantial figure in a very short space of time. Whilst I'm in agreement hes doing it for a great cause and it would be the experience of a lifetime, I'm not overly keen on the overheads sloughed off by the organisers which would be sufficient to buy a very nice three year old car out of that same fundraising money. Bit too much like a free holiday. Still its something hes committed to doing.
Blog writing is a veritable minefield. In fact it took hours just to come up with a vaguely witty title without coralling the content into some sort of order. Still hes happy with the basics and the rest is down to him.
Rellies have been and gone without too much carnage. The two legged occupants of the house are vegged out on the sofa scoffing cakes and watching the telly box in the hopes of warming up after a very wet morning at the stables.
Further plans for the day are minimal at best and involve more telly and a chippie shop tea.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Moo please don't think I am teaching you to suck eggs but have you or BIL considered linking the blog to Facebook thereby ensuring potential readership which is also free
Many of the blogs I read are linked to FB. I confess though I am not sure how they do itI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
