While it sounds bad, I just never took you for the tattooing type...that said what is the tattooing typeThis was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
I managed not to cry which is good! She is fast asleep now, poor thing.0

I think everyone thinks of a certain 'type' when they think of tattoos, and it's never a pleasant one but perfectly pleasant people can suprise you by having one.
In bits today, on site this morning, a ladder was sideways across a doorway and I had to step over it to get into the room, I didn't realise the floor on the other side had been taken up so was about 6" lower than where I was stepping from and as a result I jarred my hip something rotten and am now limping around the office and wincing if I so much as turn to a different part of my desk.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I think of the punky, 'basically totally covered' type. Like CM Punk, Radeo Suicide, Natalie from Bake and Destroy ect ect! I've got about 9 in my head I'd go and get done tonight if I had the money, I'd love to be part of the 'bascially totally covered' group! I don't get what you mean by 'never a pleasant one' though?
Saying that, there's even people like my Sister who you'd expect to be tattooed somewhere has been known to shock people with hers. One side of her stomach is just tropical flowers, bugs, leaves ect. It's totally beautiful, very her, but you just wouldn't expect such a chunk of a tattoo on such a slim muffin!
And Birdie, I'm far from cool or edgy and have a swirly tattoo on my wrist. As long as you love it, it doesn't matter.
Hope your hip is feeling better soon, how awful! And hope Poppy's second jabs go okay, poor lass!0 -
Oooh that sounds very painful Dinah!

ETA: Cinny your sister's tattoo sounds amazing, have you got piccies? I'm really worried about getting my mid-section done in case it balloons! I'm really getting more into the wrist tat idea, wanted one for about a year now. I told my friend that I fancied it and she turned her nose up and said, 'Eugh, how tacky!'... which makes me want it even more now! We then got to discussing them and she said that the only place she'd consider is the small of her back... which isn't tacky at all?! How confusing can one person be?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Traaaaamp Staaaaamp! I hate to sound like a Judgemental Judy but even the classiest of woman can't pull that off - even if Kate Middleton had a twirl.
She's coming over tomorrow to pick up the pooches so I'll either snap one, or see if she's got a photo. She has this Beauty and the Beast inspired one though.
And I also forgot, my tattoo didn't hurt while the numbing cream was working. Then it wore off and it felt like someone had stuck a needle deep into my skin and was dragging it around. Blergh!0 -

When you think of the image of someone with loads of tattoos it's more likely to be a jeering bruiser in a string vest with a bulldog than a well-off lady who lunches or a high flying businessman isn't it? I know anyone can have one but the associated image isn't generally a successful one. Tattoos do have negative connotations and a bit of a 'rough' image, even our works employment policy states no visable tattoos in customer facing roles, so even if I wanted one I couldn't get one, but I'm far too fickle for a lifelong marking on my body - my tastes change every few years and I'd hate to be stuck looking at something in 10 years that I didn't want anymore.
Now drugged up to the eyeballs, hip still hurts. If its the same or worse tomorrow I'll be going to the docs.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

If you are planning a tattoo around your stomach area please remember ladies (NIM doesn't apply to you) that that particular area gets quite large during pregnancy. Think about stretch marks running through the tattoo or even if you are lucky enough not to get those the tattoo itself will still stretch and can distort while pregnant. (not a pretty sight)
