If you are planning a tattoo around your stomach area please remember ladies (NIM doesn't apply to you) that that particular area gets quite large during pregnancy. Think about stretch marks running through the tattoo or even if you are lucky enough not to get those the tattoo itself will still stretch and can distort while pregnant. (not a pretty sight)

Either have your babies first or have one elsewhere :)

See, this is what I meant about ballooning! My friend has some really pretty butterflies on her hip/going up onto her belly, but they're going to get massive when she has a baby!

I was going to say 'Tramp Stamp' but didn't want to offend in case anyone has one! So, yeah, my friend who's too classy for something small and pretty on the wrist will happily have a Tramp Stamp! :rotfl:She glared at me when I called it that!

I have a bit of a tattoo dilemma. I had a daisy on my ankle many moons ago. When I had DD I had the bright idea (!) of having her name tattoo'd just above it. Now pregnant with baby no2 I'll have to have his name tattoo'd there as well to show no favouritism. The problem is I don't want his name under the daisy (pushing up daisies anyone??) but I don't know about putting it above DD's name. I don't really want to put it elsewhere as that would mean "another" tattoo whereas now it just looks like one.

Haha! I had never heard that one before. I've got 2 tattoos, both illegal teenage rebellious ones. One near where yours is Tete, below that nobbly bit on your foot. The other one is on my ribcage. Both butterflies. The foot one looks a bit like a bruise now and the other one has gone all blurry. I still like them though, they remind me of a very potent, youthful me and I think it will be nice to think back to that when I am a Granny. Although I probably should have waited and got some really amazing tattoo done when I was older and had thought about it more. I would have liked a much bigger one.

Tete, so sorry to hear about your Uncle :(

CMD - belated hugs, so sorry about your carp boss.

On a happier note, I am *almost* finished the wedding arrangements, yay! Am almost starting to enjoy myself....[shock horror]!

Thats a tricky one starnac, sounds like best thing is to put it above your dd's name if you don't want another one.

Yay for being nearly organised for the wedding Lara, sounds like you are doing fab.

Ooh well done Lara, how close is it now?

Starnac, do you think you'll have any more babies? maybe you should have a third so you could put their names either side! Let's hope he's secretly twins :D If not then probably above your daughters name - which I love btw.

How's the hip Dinah? I'm like you with tattoos, far too fickle for one. Plus I'm just not cool enough to pull one off!

Anyone know if there's anything you can do on ebay disputes if it's over 45 days since the item sold? It's just a charger but it had a 12 month warrenty, and broke within 6 weeks. But I've been back and forth with them, and now they've ignored me for 10 days and it's too late to do anything with ebay.
Bet if they do get in touch they'll make me send it back to ruddy Hong Kong which will cost loads and take forever!

When you think of the image of someone with loads of tattoos it's more likely to be a jeering bruiser in a string vest with a bulldog than a well-off lady who lunches or a high flying businessman isn't it?

I've honestly never thought of it. I grew up surrounded by or looking up to heavily tattooed people so sometimes genuinely don't notice tattoos straight off. Like I said, I'd love to have tattoos every where. I think almost every tattoo is kind of beautiful and each one has a story behind it.
I have, however, found a good tattoo for most of the ladies on here. Tahh Dahhh! It's both practical and eco friendly :D

Starnac - The only thing I really would suggest is another tattoo. I'd rather that, then make another one look messy for the sake of it. You've got years until he'll even understand the whole tattoo thing to figure it out anyways! And if not, there's always a Sharpie

love that tattoo cinny. it would be really handy.

I have got a while to decide on best option for soon to be DS's tattoo (we haven't even decided on a name yet!)

Archersluck thanks for saying you love DD's name. I've always loved it since I was a child. Took a while for my english DH to come round to the idea though as he had never heard of it. Now he's the one who is suggesting a welsh name for the baby!

ETA: Sorry to hear the debts not looking good Flower, hope you do manage to sleep although I know how hard it is when things are running around in your head worrying you!
