Me too and maybe we should give her the benefit of the doubt and feel sorry for her but it's just too convenient.

Goodlife, on that farm, self sufficiency etc. The bambinos I've got to assume will not be an issue, I've never done anything that should cause my swimmers to go in circles.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

:rotfl:good strong swimmers is what you want ;)

Self sufficiency is our goal. Once all our debts are paid off we'll save for somewhere with land and live out the good life.

I used to want to do the self sufficiency thing, but as I've got older I've moved away from that a bit, and am more about having enough to cover our needs and wants, than it being a (albeit) fun but challenging life always toiling hard for your food and roof. Hence goign from wanting to sell bits and bobs I've made and painted just to scrape by, to trying to set up a business to set us up for life. I'd love a holiday home in Ireland, certainly in the middle of nowhere where our kids can play in the fields every school holiday and enjoy life there too, but I'd really struggle to move over as I always feel really lonely over there.

Personally I think keeping a laptop on your knee for the last 7 years or so has probably got them nice and toasty, if not quite going in circles! 3 littleuns I think is a possibility. Somewhere between 2 and 4 is what we've discussed. Already have 2 boy names and a girl name lined up.

I think you're right about the 'Good Life' Dinah, I'd find it exhausting to have to toil all the time, self sufficiency sounds too much like hard work to me!

How is it not Friday already?! I was in a foul mood yesterday afternoon because I hadn't slept well and the project I'm working on is just too complicated for my puny brain to comprehend, so I had horrible dreams about work last night and had another rotten sleep so I'm even more tired this morning! :( I just want it to be the weekend!

On the plus side, since it was payday yesterday I actually treated myself to a couple of bits from Fat Face (in the sale of course!), a skirt and a bag for my hollibobs. I've been eyeing up the bag for weeks as it's the perfect theme park trawling bag, big comfy strap so it won't rub, 7 pockets to keep valuables hidden away safely, and big enough to tuck 2 ponchos in just in case! First time I've bought something not from Primark, a charity shop or George in ages, I felt quite fancy! How sad. :o

Sorry your friend cancelled on you last night Tete, happens to me a fair bit and it's awful. My friend (the one I told I'd forgotten what she looks like!) must have taken the hint the other day and has asked me round to hers on Saturday for a girly dinner party. Dirty Dog Ex must be busy with his buddies and pulling other girls that night.

Hope you're feeling better today CMD, I'm sure you've done a brilliant job with the event and that everyone will recognise how good you've been. And in 3 weeks you can walk out saying 'so long suckers!' :p
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Morning all! Sorry to keep bringing money into the thread :D but I also have a shiny 0% Barclaycard! Had never thought it was worth my while even trying as my credit rating took a hit a few years back but I read the thread, then saw it again in Martin's email so thought it couldn't hurt. And they said yes! Still want to pay it off asap but will take the pressure off a little.

Hope today goes well CMD although I guess you won't be reading!

I did an MS in Fat Face last week and had to make a purchase but ours is tiny and the only thing I liked was a full price tunic for £30. I so nearly crumbled! But luckily spotted some men's leather bracelet band things which were only £1.50, phew! Protected my profit margin :D

I definitely see the appeal of the self sufficiency thing but suspect I'm too lazy. Have always fancied keeping chickens for the eggs but their legs freak me out...

Were definitely gonna have chickens, and I'm looking into some smaller cows, the kind they used to keep in the farmhouse over winter to help keep the place warm.

Self sufficiency is a neat way to live if you've got the right mind set but for me I find I'm amazingly lazy and most likely spend too much time on the internet. Saying that I'd love to have a goat, called either Punk or Gaston. OR I could have two goats, then I wouldn't need to pick one of the names. I'm excited to puppy sit Percy and Trevlah tomorrow though, I miss having pets! I love Barry the fish and his friends but I can't really cuddle them.

Thinking the extra money I earn this weekend will be spent else where other than the challenge as 1) I'm buying hair dye after work as I'm missing having a darker hair colour. And 2) I really want a tattoo of something like this on my foot. And that means moonayy. I'll have to find somewhere to give blood before I have anything done though, I don't want myself black listed for another year!

ETA: Forgot to mention, I'm starting the 30 Day Shred again, and will actually stick to it. I have body inspiration! Which I'm normally against but, BAM! So when she's telling me how strooooong I am I won't get annoyed and click it off. Although I fully understand no amount of shredding will give me fronts like that!
