That's so nice what you're doing with your Nan Zig, that's something that's on my 101 lst. If granny had it her way she'd chuck the lot though - old people are RUTHLESS!
He was diagnosed with heart failure 3 years ago, but its a slow process, could have been 1 year could be 30. But more than that he seems to have lost his optemism since Gran went.zigmeister wrote: »
I bought a really good diary thing the other day. It's called Q&A a day and it has a question for each day, and 5 spaces. You fill it in every day for 5 years and see how your answers change. Not up everyone's street but I love that kind of thing.
I like the look of that. And the 1 line a day memorybook although I think the one of those off the company I got NIMs wedding book from is a bit smarter (but more expensive).archersluck wrote: »Freaking fabulous! Well done Dinah, you seem really into the debt busting again. How much interest will that save you? And hooray for yours too Birdie.
However, I am now a graduate! Had a lovely day yesterday though the cap and gown was boiling, managed not to trip in the insane shoes though and had an amazing meal at the top of the Baltic. Love your shoes Zig, must be your turn soon?
!
Congrats on graduating Archers - I didn't know you were in Newcastle - are you Newcastle or Northumbria? Do you plan to stay now you've graduated?
About £100-£120 a month, which is amazing. I wouldn't have thought I might get one if it were not for the combination of my colleage and this challenge, so I'm over the moon. We can put all our CCs on comfotably, and try to spend as much as we can on the existing card rather than in cash so we can clear the ODs and BT those too.
I know it's bad of us, but we've decided to get a washing machine too. Mum only gave us till September to get one (she didn't tell us this till today actually) so its better it goes on the BT card at 0% than we have to take out extra credit somewhere, and at least it will paid off really quickly. I have no idea what to look for in a washing machine though - this could be some very boring shopping I'm about to do!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Diagon Alley... diagonally... geddit? Knockturn Alley's a play on words too
Riiight! I get it now! How did I not see that?!
I'm determined to enjoy tomorrow though. I won't ever wear a graduation outfit again so I need to enjoy it, and get my £50 worth!
That's a great amount you save every month Dinah! And so good that's it's one amount you'll pay every month. Makes things easier I guess.Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Just updated Zigs ticker, (setting NIM on yours Poddle, I dont know what do with it!), Starnac Cinny and Flower are taking something of an early lead which at this rate is going to lead to a sprint finish. Regardless I think it's made many of us think about money a lot more, certainly it has with me.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Am I a case of mistaken identity!? I was at the poly dinah, I got a job back in north yorks and am gutted to have left. Did not want to leave yesterday! That's partly why I like this blog, the north-east-ness of it!
Have a great time Zig, just smile and don't rush on stage and it can't go too wrongHope everything with your parents goes ok, someone I know had their parents in the same room for the first time in 15 years at mine and it went really well, so it might be lovely!

Oh come on kids! Knockturn Alley too - full of the DARK arts?? Everything's a play on words in those books, that's why I love them so much. Remus Lupin? The Pensieve? Dolores Umbridge? I love it I love it I love it
Brilliant news about the cards girls - strange how they're suddenly handing out 0%s again though?! Now don't go spending on it will you!!
Archers didn't realise you were in Newcastle - congratulations on graduating!
Good luck for tomorrow Zig, enjoy it and be proud of yourself, you did great!! I can imagine they'll get your name wrong! Everyone gets mine wrong - I was once called "Lucy Airport"! But on my graduation they managed to get my middle name wrong for a change - Anne instead of Lynn!
Dinah I think there are lots of economical things on washing machines now. And you need a minimum of so many reps per minute but I can't remember what it is ... 1200? No that seems a lot doesn't it! Ex's mam advised us when we were buying one but it leaked out of my head sorry - maybe you can google it.
We had bad news tonight, my uncle has advanced bladder cancer - they're going to operate in the next four weeks so we'll see how he goes. My grandma's terrified bless her - five kids she had, two died 6 months apart in 2008, one she doesn't speak to and the other is a twit. This uncle is the only normal one left and he lives miles away on the south coast so he's not even nearbyNothing we can do but wait, I just feel awful for her.

I had no idea she was at this tbh, only realising now.Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »Oh come on kids! Knockturn Alley too - full of the DARK arts?? Everything's a play on words in those books, that's why I love them so much. Remus Lupin? The Pensieve? Dolores Umbridge? I love it I love it I love it
Lupin I get (Werewolf / Lupus being latin [i think] for moon)
Pensieve I also get
Is Umbridge some type of emotion?
ETA Remus, brother of Romulous both raised by a shewolf.
What other blatant ones will I have missed seeing as I didnt know there was a single one in the entire series? This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0
