Can't add anything really to the SOA that the others haven't already said.
Tete - well done on the run, sounds like you did fab!
Flower - as the others said it is much more important that you are happy as they always say 'happy mum happy baby'.
We had a nice weekend down with the family in Southampton. Saw some friends and went to a summer fair that OH's mum and sisters were helping at sat.
Archersluck - yes the rain is very annoying! When we were driving back today it kept having random pour downs and then being fine.0 -
It's been a horrible day here too! I wouldn't have fancied running 10k in this (or actually any k at all!) but it would be a good day for Harry Potter! Lol you pervs
Well done Tete for your 10k  It's definitely progress! A 10k is generally much slower than twice your 5k time. Is the Great North Run at half marathon?
Good recipes, Cinny! You really are a domestic goddess. But I have to agree that I'd never find some of those prices - probably partly due to where I live, but also I wouldn't buy really cheap eggs or meat. I probably can't afford to be choosy, but we compromise by eating much less meat and only buy decent quality/sustainable meat and fish and free range eggs.
Flower, how did your millionaires shortbread go the other day?! Sorry to hear you're feeling blue, but hope talking to the doctor helps. Sometimes it's just nice to know you're not alone.
PS. Tete, I just finished my Maggie O'Farrell - feel a bit traumatised, didn't want it to end! I haven't read any of hers before, but I really rate her as a writer - everything she said was so true and felt really well researched.
Well done Tete and everyone for getting off the blocks with the £1000 challenge!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Just got back from seeing Harry Potter thingy. Had all the movies on our sky player yesterday so watched the two we hadn't seen, then went to a 'just before we start charging afternoon prices' showing. Was good, but you could tell we weren't Potter Heads. The girl next to me was crying, cheering and jumping.. and that was just at the opening logo.. okay. Slight exaggeration. It was pretty neat though!archersluck wrote: »An absolute perv tete! But with you on Draco, yum.
No no, not Draco! Lucius on the other hand! Even more in the last movie when he's all rugged.. phwoar! I think it's just long hair, I'm not picky.
And well done on the run. Even more so without training properly first, hope you're not in too much pain tomorrow! And b*llocks. I meant to put 100g not 125g, but 125g will just make it more creamy. You can get a 200g of soft cheese for 56p from Aldi
I'm sick of the rain too, weather for ducks as my Gran says. Was sunny this morning so did get some washing dry at least!0 -
Hello!
Not much to add to the SOA stuff, think the others covered everything that stood out to me
Harry Potter was freakin' awesome! We woke up this morning discussing whether or not she should go again today... sense won in the end but I'm sure we'll be going again at some point! Love the babygrows, have saved them to my favourites! Will watch the youtube clip later when I've found my earplugsCan kind of see the Neville thing Tete, although it is a little disturbing!
Thanks for the recipes Cinny, will have to keep them as inspiration, and get myself to Aldi!
Very well done on the 10k Tete! Very proud of you!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I understand the misconception that cheap = bad quality but I would never knowingly buy battery eggs, or meat from animals that suffered. Aldi sell 6 medium free range eggs for 89p and I trust that the chickens are treated well. Unlike with Happy Eggs where you pay £2.60+ for 6 eggs to find the hens are treated horribly. I can also get 6 free range eggs for £1 from a shop on the corner where the guy is known for treating his hens more than well. Also all Aldi meat can be traced to the British farm it came from, and I trust them again in that the animals are treated well. I can't comment on the fish, but then you all know I don't buy thatI don't want to seem like I'm ranting on here, but I just had to say

Just on the fish thing, its not difficult to get good quality fish for pennies, I got 2 decent sized pouting fillets for like 71p from Mr T and they nearly always have the stuff discounted there too...that said for a few pennies more I'd go back to Morrisons for pouting. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

Too busy snoozing like the cute kitty in your DP!And welcome, finally!
Just saw this on tumblr, Birdie. Thought you and Shrimpy might like it
And I forgot to say, I have no idea if or how making Yorkshire batter in the morning effects the overall pudding. All I know is that if my Gran somehow forgets, all hell breaks loose!
Ready for tonight, have my (many) energy drinks, and basically a bag of sugar to keep me going until tomorrow after work. My Rich and Jake aren't happy I'm still staying up, they don't trust that I'll keep the results to myself0 -

Ooh they went down well thank you (well unless OH is just a very good actor :rotfl:) he even took some to work to share with his workmates so I think he liked them!
Have to say on the food front, I do like to know that animals have been well treated etc, having said this (and this may sound awful!) money is tight and i'm not willing to spend extra money on something when I dont need to!
I agree with Cinny you can get cheap food that can be traced to British farmers/free range etc...Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
