Lol! I know Flower but I need to get organised or we will have a big bill in December.

I really should have this attitude!
Was actually talking to OH about it the other day and I said there was not much point in buying too much for the baby for Christmas as he wont have a clue whats going on anyway. OH agreed, then half an hour later he was talking about all these things hes going to buy for the baby - something tells me Christmas is going to be very expensive from now on!

I was going to say the London eye too if you don't mind paying a bit.

I think i am going to start getting organised for presents from next month. I know is early but will be easier to spread costs over a few months. Will be looking out for bargains too. Is only four months anyway eek!

My plan is to get Poppy a walker and maybe some clothes as they will come in useful. I know i will probably go mad though and end up buying loads. My Mum is already planning on getting her a lot so can imagine we will have so much.

You are right not to buy too much because they don't need that much at that age. What I would really recommend buying is a Jumperoo. Max used it from 4-9 months and my neice is using it now.

    Max liked this walker:

He also was obsessed with this ball and I would recommend it over and above most other things we got him:

It will be great to have all these things for baby number 2!

Also - I know you do a lot of walking Wendz and Max got lots of fun out of this chap on his buggy. He used to fall asleep holding on to one of the tentacles!

Hello! Day 2 down! Was better today, didn't get as lost, although the car park I ended up in was twice as expensive as yesterday, worth it for my sanity though! I didn't do all of my homework last night (I never did it at school either...) so have loads tonight to do if I want to actually pass the exam tomorrow!

Is it wrong that I really want a Jumperoo?! :rotfl:

Super excited for your New York trip on your behalf Dinah! Well jealous! :) Natural History Museum in London is good, only had about 2 hours in there when I went with my Mum but really want to go back, you can spend a day just looking at the wonderful carvings on the pillars! I've never been to NY (:() but my folks have been a few times and one of their favourite things to do on an evening is to go to the Bull and Bear bar at the Waldorf, drinking posh drinks in a flash setting and people watching, the very high class 'ladies of the night' frequent it apparently! My parents always seem to end up in odd places though, in Miami they ended up in a gay/drag bar and didn't realise for about an hour! Bless 'em!

Your OH is so sweet Flower! Hope you get a phone sorted out so he can relax! :)

CMD, well done for being so organised! I've made a plan for what I'm going to do for Christmas, but yet to actually make a start! Making quite a few presents this year but the problem is that I've actually got to pull my finger out and make things!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I don't know how long you're in New York for but I thought I'd give you a couple of tips - Hope thats okay :)

There's a Native American Museum on the Corner of Battery Park which I found by Accident - I hope it's still there...It was WONDERFUL!!

Also, if you can, try to be at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem on Amateur Night...it's soooo wonderful...and Harlem isn't as bad as everyone says it is...You might be able to go on an Organised Tour if your Hotel does them.

Do go to the New York Library...sounds boring but it's WONDERFUL!! Just the architecture alone is amazing.

Obviously there are the really touristy things like the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Central Park and Times Square - And I would definitely recommend those as well...they are ALL worth doing!!

Hope that helps a little...And I hope you have an amazing time.
