I'd go for cream tiles if that's the paint pallette you're looking at. I love those tiles too, if we ever got round to retiling our kitchen (which it could do with) we'd have those tiles instead of boring squares, maybe even with one strip of colour going through too... I can't wait to have a proper kitchen to decorate! I'd want this set in there too! :D

Is it just me or is that calm orange range ... well, brown?

I thought so too but thought I was missing something! :)

Any ideas when Dinah's back? Seems like they've been gone forever!

No I can't remember when they went to be honest... I go in the morning so I won't 'see' them for ages! They're gonna have a lot to catch up on here!! Just been checking the forecast for La Rochelle/Bordeaux and it's mostly sunny, interspersed with thunderstorms and FOG! :undecided

Sounds a lot like English weather! I'm sure it'll be lovely! How long are you there for?

Beats actually being in England anyway! Dublin tomorrow and tomorrow night, then little village for seven nights, then Paris for a day and a night :)

Haha, no it is! They have a couple photos of it actually on a wall and it has an orangey undertone to it.

I thought they were going for 2 weeks? Or maybe 10 days? My head tells me they set off on a Thursday, maybe. Does seem like they've been gone for ages! I wonder if they'll actually read all the posts? We should have put tests in a couple of our messages like 'if you've read this type the word maracas.'

Your trip sounds really lovely Tete, I never really bother about the weather when I go away. I actually think discovering new places in truly rubbish weather makes it more fun - but then my head is wired a little funny on some things. Hope it fairs out for you though.

ETA: I forgot to say, I love that kitchen set, Birdie! I'd love something like that but OH's Nannan gave us her old breakfast table and chairs and he loves his Nan a little too much to get rid!

Sounds lovely Tete, even if the British summer weather follows you!

I think the cream metro tiles would look lovely Cinny. And then you can have 'accent' colours, like Birdie suggests. I bought my bathroom tiles super cheap on eBay, so it's always worth having a look. (Though I am looking at Fired Earth tiles for my fireplace :o) Do you get to buy everything at trade prices anyway though?

I hope you do get a good 'back to work' package Wendz, when are you thinking of going back?

Hello to everyone else! I seem to have lost the ability to remember anything and I don't have an excuse! I did put up new blinds in the bedroom at the weekend (obviously by 'I', I mean my OH) and they're pretty but not tremendously effective at keeping out light, so I am a bit sleepy...

PS. Love the diner set Birdie, how fun would that be!

Poddle we have similar blind issues in our bedroom, it kind of diffuses the light but doesn't actually block it. We have a curtain but it's a pretty sheer jobby that's more for show so we've usually awake and trying to hide under the covers at 5.30 as it's so bright! MIL is making us a roman blind so I'm hoping that it'll be ready on Wednesday and we'll have a dark bedroom again! :)

I'm not impressed, there's a woman at work who I'm terribly jealous of as she's tall, slim and impeccably dressed at all times, always prancing about in her black Louboutins (at work!!!) and today she's wearing my Abercrombie cardigan. My favouritest grey cashmere cardigan with ruffles down the front, one of the few things I own that didn't come from George or Primark and there she is, waltzing around in it, wearing it better than I do! Eugh, not happy! :)
