So manager now quibbling about expenses he agreed to and still hasn't paid me for May where I worked three weeks straight with no days off.
I am not happy.- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

That is ridiculous. Is there any suggestion of financial difficulties, or is he just being a PITA? :eek:0

The latter - but I have worked three weeks in May with no break whatsoever and I was ill yesterday with a bug and still had to work through, and woke up to find a load of notes literally screaming and shouting about stuff... and it's worse by the fact he has paid the other full timer and the scrote but not me.
Furious.- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

Finally got paid and have nibbled away at my finances over the past few days! Phew - really must not leave them so long!
I will strike while the iron is hot on Monday/Tuesday and will still aim to pay 3x my mortgage + interest as an overpayment/reduction off the balance.
BAD Hurdler!
So I have a buffer in my business account that should be enough to cover my hotel bills for covering Birmingham and Eastbourne, as it makes no sense to pay for it on my credit card and then enter it in the accountancy system as "paid by director" and waste more time figuring out my expenses.
Giving a lift to another editor of a tennis site to Birmingham and he is going to cover the petrol costs which is nice...
Will be ordering the old groceries from t3sco at the weekend for delivery on Monday - only in Eastbourne from Tues to Fri and then will be getting ready for... Wimbledon!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

we're supposed to be able to take extra days off after a Slam but the other full timer and I are both at tournaments next week - so I am going to have a day off on Tuesday to get up to Birmingham and actually ENJOY a day of tennis for once.- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

About to be extremely UN-Money-saving...
I booked my hotels for covering Birmingham and Eastbourne via TCB (so will get the cash back on that) but having had to sacrifice write up time to catch up with expenses going back to end of my business year in April while working over the French Open, I have decided that rather than pay for them using my Am3x Cashback card I am going to put them straight through the business account, thus saving half the faff time to "reclaim" them as business expenses and "pay" myself back.
A wise Italian journo told me that when you are freelancing, time is your money... and in two weeks time we are straight into Wimbledon and I will need to be full on it for that.
The only trouble is... hotels will come up to about £1000 all told.... sigh.- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033
