The quality of the new series is excellent, keeping the composer was genius, and the actor has clearly studied Morse extensively because I see many of the John Thaw mannerisms.
I think the actor playing Dr Max DeBryn also does an amazing job of picking up the mannerisms of the actor who played the older version of him in Morse.

In fact at one stage - when he sussed the chalk marks I worried that she was the next victim ... which means that something is BOUND to happen to her in the last episode next week!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

Yes, I thought she might be the next victim too.
At least with Lewis there was some hope that he might eventually get his act in gear and sort things out with Laura. Lovely when he did, in the end, but daft of him to have taken so long over it.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

So finally I have my investment wrap details to log in with, and my pension I started when I set up on my own (transferring in my first pension plans I set up when I started work before I was put into the final salary scheme) I can now re-adjust my house... and the picture looks a lot more colourful!
Obviously I still have to pay off my mortgage/keep a roof over my head, but I do feel as though maybe I have done something postive to provide for my retirement. V important now that I am in such a precarious role!
Now all I need to do is meet the man of my dreams and/or marry a millionaire ... next part of the plan obviously!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

Happy Good Friday everyone!
I am working the 5-midnight shift tonight, so happily avoiding anything to do with fluffy tennis balls while I catch up with A LOT.
I haven't had much luck with my lists when I have put them up - even having just 5 things on the list!
So - new tack - 3 tasks at a time!
List 1- "[STRIKE]Tin Box Tidy" I have those big filing boxes for all sorts of things - and they need tidying as they've been on the spare bed all this time! Lettings stuff, Investment stuff, household stuff, tax stuff[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Business Receipts & Expenses[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Town - need to pick up a few things for trip to Stuttgart from Sunday[/STRIKE]

Well - I might have been rejected for the French Open and Wimbledon but will be off for the WTA Stuttgart and combined ATP/WTA Madrid tournaments so I suppose I will now make the most of other trips where I can.
I have booked my first airbnb room and booked my flights and accomodation with my Amex cashback card so a teeny bit money-saving at least.- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

On the PM shift and have just about gotten over the long hours in Stuttgart.
Off to Madrid on Sunday - even longer hours as they have some curious siesta deal before the evening matches but have an AirBnB place that should be about 5-10 mins from the stadium.
Didn't spend as much in Stuttgart from my Euros but no free food in Madrid - they have a staff restaurant and you have a choice of menu prices so off to top up my Euros and hopefully won't have to use up much at all.
Mortgage is down to JUST over £380 so next overpayment should bring that down nicely.
Also the overpayments (3x + about £60+ interest) should dip below £1200 soon as well which will be a _party_ as it feels like a bit of a milestone to overpay BELOW that amount... that makes no sense I know.
Just a quick bit of filing then into town to get that currency and then back to do business accouts before working from 5pm - midnight. As I am on my own all day Saturday I have no intention of starting much before then.
To Dos- [STRIKE]Personal Finances[/STRIKE]
- Business Expenses
- [STRIKE]Get Currency/Taxi money etc[/STRIKE]
