reading all your posts, i notice you mentioned that you have applied for 4 credit card and a loan over the past 6 weeks, can i suggest you stop applying as each time you apply there is a search on your credit file, dont apply for any more for at least 4 months
concentrate on where you can still save/make money and throw that at the bills

but WELL DONE, for what you have done so far
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)
  • Hi deanchilds. Oh that is a real bummer regarding the gear box. I have only just seen your updates - I wonder if you have already asked for your first fitting fee back? If not, then yeah I think you should try, you never know that might offer to take something off the second one if nothing else.

Re: the holiday, I just meant in a "ahh well, it's done now..." kind of way...go for it, enjoy it kind of thing.

Glad you got a bit of cash back from Barclays.

The EBAY stuff.....was it stuff you needed? Are you glad you have it? If not, try and re sell it maybe.

  • I have found Amazon better for selling CD's, DVD's and Books than eBay. Basically, you name the price so you get what you want for the items. Also you don't have to pay to list the items, only when they sell.

Not asked for the fitting money yet, going to wait until i get a refund on the gearbox and then go for it then.

Ebay stuff wasnt stuff i needed, Jungle book 2 dvd £15 , 4GB chip for camera £40, TV Power pack £94 and Chronicles of Narnia Ext Edition £18. The Tv power pack is £150 in Comet and never many on ebay so had to take my chance.

Its my Birthday on Friday so any money i get that i dont spend in paris i could use to pay for the ebay stuff.

Happy Birthday for Friday! :) :bdaycake:

Will you consider re-selling the DVDs once you have watched them? You then get the best of both worlds I guess.

Big savings to be had if you take packed lunches to work! That's what's sticking out at me.

Also, wouldn't it be better if you throw money at your credit cards than family, because of the interest?

  • Looking Ahead, I Would prefer to keep my Dvds rather then sell them after watching as ive got a collection of about 350. Thanks for the Birthday wishes!

Elantan, sold one or two things on ebay but not much. prob just hang on to it for now and do a boot sale when the weather gets better.

Sheraz, Not spent a penny on food at work this year and only spent £10-12 on food if im not at work since the turn of the year, So that has made a lot of difference.
