Sending lots of (((hugs))) to you.
I know you really really don't want to but could you ask the bank of mum and dad for something just for the holiday?
I wish I had a solution for you xx

I'm sorry to hear you've had such a rough time. I've not got much to offer in the way of advice, but am sending you lots of hugs and happy thoughts.

While I am waiting for the cat to decide to come home ( no cat flap and I know she will Miaow till I open the door as soon as I get into bed) thought I would update

Camping trip is back on thankfully as CSA payment has arrived ( thanks ex) panic over and we will be on our way tomorrow :T:T

Moo has been a Moo and called nanny ( without my knowledge )this morning crying and upset to tell nanny that her clothes are too small ( partly true ) and she doesn't like the ones that fit, nanny popped round with some money from grandad so that she can get some new clothes :mad: very nice and am grateful but honestly I think it's a bit over the top all my mum could say was " she is my only grandchild and this is what nanny's and granddads Are for "

Nothing paid off any debts :o or put into any savings :o. what with the whole work situation and starting new job i can't really budget just yet as I have no idea of income going to have to live week to week at the minute .

Old employers true to their word and not paid me  so have worked a week for nothing but I guess I did walk out ,

New employers asked for bank details so may get paid at the end of this month rather than end of next month :T

That's about it off to get in the cat I'm ready For bed

    Morning Moo's Mum,

Yay for the CSA payment coming in and yay that you can go on holiday! :j

Make sure you take a proper break and try to relax. Easier said than done, maybe, but try.

Also, I think you've got to try and take grandparents' money in the spirit that it's given. I don't think they are trying to say that you can't cope. I think that they just genuinely want to help. Eg I'm 26 now and my granny will still send me money for absolutely no reason. At first, I was really cross and thought it was an indication that I couldn't stand on my own two feet. But actually, it's because she really cares about me and wants to do things that will make life easier for me. In her younger days, that was much more practical - she made me a really lovely blanket to take away to university with me. But these days she can't do as much and money is the only way she feels she can help.

So to cut a long story shortish, I think you should just take it in the spirit that it's given and enjoy the fact that new clothes for Moo is just one less thing to worry about. :)

Have a lovely holiday! And I do agree with smilerwoman, my nana is the same - she can't do practical things like she used to, and while when my sister and I were children she might have gone out and bought things for us she now finds excuses to give us money instead - last time I went home I took her out for lunch and she not only paid but then hid an envelope in my car with a cheque and a note telling me to buy something 'pretty'. I think it's just what grandparents do if they can.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

    Hi all

I'm back ,did you miss me?

Had a lovely few days away not exactly relaxing as we were on the go all the time but nice all the same. Moo had made some friends on the campsite so in the evenings It was very much me and a book :T

The highlight for me was when I put up our tent (not a two man thing but a full on big family tent,) in the view of about 4/5 men who couldn't stop staring not sure whether they were impressed with my skills or embarrassed :rotfl::rotfl: as I say to Moo boys are o.k but girls rock!!

Money wise it was o.k i did have some expensive not planned for things needed to get A new air bed ( Moo jumped on mine and busted it:mad:) a new gas bottle as old one died and had to fill up with petrol twice :eek:

I'm too scared to look at bank balances I know there is money in accounts but not sure how much and I know I have a few of last months bills still to pay , feel a bit lost not sat down and made a budget for august will do this at the weekend

Hope you are all well !
