Drink more water reminder

If you're anything like me you're always forgetting to drink water, I'm terrible for it. This is a very good idea from Water Aid. There's lots of information about water and dehydration. There's even a calculator for how much you need to drink. Here's the link to a pop-up reminder that will remind you to get a glass of water throughout the day.

  • I guess I must drink half a glass a day. Unfortunately I live on the fizzy black stuff.

Found this on the above site.

'Can I really drink too much water?

Drinking too much water can lead to a condition known as water intoxication. Water intoxication is most commonly seen in infants under the age of six months and sometimes in athletes. The kidneys of a healthy adult can process fifteen litres of water a day so you are unlikely to suffer from water intoxication, even if you drink a lot of water, as long as you drink it over time as opposed to drinking an enormous volume at one time.
The key is to ensure that you remain well-hydrated but not over hydrated'

Little and often's the way to go I think.

hard to believe but it is true. remember i had a client who looked kindof different from the rest of his family. he drunk 6 litre of water a day, yes, 6 litre. according to his mom, the doctor believed he had water retention problem, he was not over-weight, and his liver wouldn't be able to cope if he continue to pass through so much liquid everyday. so he was cutting it down and he lost quite a lot of weight while doing so. and he became healthier, so drinking too much water can damage health.

Does that mean I can take less water with my alcohol with a clear conscience?

  • I never used to drink a lot of water during the day, and then kidney stones hit me like a thunderbolt.

I've never been in as much pain !!
