Tesco have Princes Lean Corned Beeg 200g on "SPECIAL PURCHASE" for £2.49 valid from tomorrow (20/7/2011) until 2/8/2011.

This is not even the regular size of 340g which would work out at £4.23!

My late OH used to call it Typhoid sarnies as years ago there was an outbreak in Switzerland I think blamed on Corned beef.
I don't know about Switzerland, but I do recall the outbreak in Aberdeen:

I noticed today that Corned Beef had reappeared in Aldi, £1.39 for 340g. When I last bought some back in January it was £1.19.

That's a co-incidence! I noticed it in Aldi on Saturday and bought a can - it was really lean and didn't have very much fat on the outside at all. I will definitely buy again!

I bought a tin from B & M which was about £1.69 but it is really lean and I think it said it was 97% beef.

It was Ship brand, red label with a galleon or something on the front of it.

Very nice, I will def buy some of that again.

Ive been on strike since they all put it up to near the £2 mark and havent bought any for best part of a year - but I too saw the aldi one and bought it the other day - not had it yet will save for a rainy day corn beef/potatoe pie.

Got 2 of the Basics corned beef from Sainsbugs, for £1.49 each to add to my existing stash of corned beef bought from Netto.

All to be used for heart warming meals during the winter.

;) Felines are my favourite ;)
