What a day:mad:
I do have to pay my tax bill;) as I did earn the money last year, but this is on account and I haven't earns It this year but will get a refund in July so may get a holiday:D
Had a meeting with mortgage advisor today.
I know you all going to say don't do it but our current mortgage is 1831 a month and 1400 a month go on debts.
They came up with new mortgage at 1660 a month including nearly all the debts.
Only stipulation is we payoff carloancurrently 325 a month finishing in oct outstanding 3250.
Asked a round and car is worth 9k which was surprising as we thought at least half of that. This would pay off loan and overdraft. It would also give hubby small amount for an older van for work, which at lead then cold be claimed against expenses.
At leashubby understands now why we have to sell it. Only taken me 3 months or more to convince him to sell his beloved car:o
Unbelievably it will save us ......wait for it ..........34k :eek:in interest over the first two years as the rates 1pc lower than our current mortgage and our cc our 17pc.
I know that isn't typical mse but In this case it would ale me to pay my mum back 500 a mo th on the 30k she has lent us. Also in 2 years we would be able to switch to a one account which will able us to overpay.
I hope you all dont thinkim to mad and am not taking the easy option as I value your opinions deeply.
Just think this will give us chance to grow our businesses and get our lives back on track.:T
My accountant has no idea how me and hubby married after everything that has happened last two years as he said he got couples in much less states and have divorced because of it.
I reckon it is cause hubby so ignorant of everything that it been ok we can't argue over it lol.
After that's had a call while I. The bnk trying to get every penny out of anywhere there was left to rob to get only for my rent and one of staff phoned really upset that their had been an incident. I thought the one Whois playing up had fallen out with one of the other girls as they dont geton.
Omg no..... We had two travellers who apparently were Indian orient which I wouldn't have out together with major gold teeth wanting to book for a colour. Then one asked for toilet and went in staff room and knocked 70 quid from one of my juniors purse. Lucky she saw her come out of staff room and checked straight away. They do have lockers but don't put their bags in their.
Anyway she ran o the road after them (19years old) grabbed gent from shop 2 doors up and got them. She to the money back but couldn't lkeep them there until police arrived. They were trying to get her to take there trousers down to look well you know where but I think they realised they weren't going to get away with it so gave it back. Just can't believe how disrespectful these people can be.
We have such lovely customers in along with some travellers and majority of them are absolutely lovely there is aleays so,done who has to spoil it.
luck she got it bak as she skint a Monet as her partner just lost her job Md they really struggling, and I would have replaced it as I would feel responsible but not at the moment as I don't have it. Hopefully police caught them.
Anyway any thoughts wold be great as I deeply respectall your Comments and opinions.Mum 30k/29000

Im no accountant but how does it affect the length of your mortgage? just with it being less and including all the debts.
Just make sure you ask all the right questions up front.
what would be best would be to work out the total amount you would pay 1. as you are now and 2. on a new mortgage.
then its comparing like for like.
anyway at least its a positive step forwards and great news on the car front! (my new car is worth 900 pounds, and my old one was worth 400, haha)Trying to shift that debt!0 -
It put two years on mortgage but the plan is after two years to go to a one account and start overpaying. This in the long in will save us money. If we don't get it then we will just carry on as now. We getting through each month.....just.
Nice to say apart from tax bill that I'm short on that we actually have enough this month to pay bills and I think we won't go into od buffer zone by the skin of our teeth saving 22 quid!
Mortgage ins changed saving 20 a month and elec and gas saving 60 a month!
Evn hubby told me today how proud he was thy. Haven't bought nothing thsat I haven't needed.
Had a lovely dinner last night went out with BFF that I haven't seen in months. We had such a laff I do miss her.
Girl who was working for decided to leave after all she didn't want to sign her contract so may have to start back at 6 days a week again. Just don't want to as have a dead food from the nerve block I had and it driving me nutts.
Anyway all my credit cards are paid early this month so feel like I am on the right path at last and have managed to start saving for Christmas to so no credit card next year. All in all lookingpositive but I still have to phone the tax man again to tell him I still don't have the money still, as they really didn't want to know last week. So see what happens tomorrow.:pMum 30k/29000

Just caught up with you. My opinion is that if this is the best thing for you at the minute to consolidate then do it BUT only if you make absolutely sure that next year you don't end up in the same mess and also you carry on living within your means as you could keep doing this time and again. I consolidated before and then ran up my debts and really really regret it. I don't regret the consolidation as that's what I needed to do for me at the time but I massively regret running up my debts again. Never mind ...................lesson learned.
And as for the lass.... good riddance I say5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Oh I have so learnt my lesson miso thrifty now adays I scare myself.
Had a lovely day today had to go and get some supply's for salon and hubby took me for dinner. Garlic mushrooms and bread for starters and steak chips and onion loaf for main form12 quid. We haven't been out together (apart from London) for ages so we used a bit of our Xmas money as a treat.
My daughter wants a sweet table at her wedding and looking on the net cheapest I found the large glasses ie humugous wine, brandy martini glasses etc they were coming in between 200 and 300, we popped into the range ( don't kow if u heard of it but it a fab shop) and I managed to get two large martini glasses large wine glasses and brandy glass and large glass bowl for 60 quid was soon pressed with myself. We walked in I just looked at hubby and beamed. He was like we can't afford it so i made him spend his xmas dosh but he was ok with it as he knew how much this was going to save.
Daughter is well impressed which is the main thing.mthink she was worried that when I said some things need doing on a budget hat she thought they would be tacky but she forgot this is me we talking about. Can do it cheap but it looks good.
Trouble is I go shopping and found in home sense this purple boudoir couch that would look amazing in the salon but couldn't afford it so had to leavehad to tell myself if I hadn't spent so much on !!!!! last few years I could have bought it. That done it!!!!!!
Couldn't get through to tax man all I kept getting is we are busy sod off lol they say they want to help,if you can't pay but try and get to speak to someone. Ain't happening. I done 4 payments 2581 300 300 470 still owe 2900 but they should have helped when i phoned ten days ago not tell me to phone back on the busiest day and be a bit more helpful. Accountant reckons I got three months before they get crabby. Will do my utmost to get it paid by then. At least I get refund in July a si haven't earnt it this year.
Anyway sleep time shopping has worn me out all this wedding excitement, think I have a cold coming so been solving first defence up my nose just in case. Hope you'll well xxxxxxxxxMum 30k/29000

Been north this week and eaten out twice but earnt bit extra which paid for it this week, and still have put extra back for bills.
Prob going to have last day off this week and start back 6 days for a while which will get these bills paid off.
Still couldnt get through to the taxman numbers they give you Arent the right ones. They don't seem to make it easy for you to talk to you. I can't remember which number i phoned think I got it from the Internet.

Good call re mortgage I would say. Just hammer away at the debts and you will get there quicker than any of us no doubt. You were doing great before Christmas and you know much better now where you stand with the debts and have the true figures. So come on get your mojo back.
