  • Hey,

During today I've read your whole diary in bits and bobs during my breaks, its really motivational and inspirational to read, well done for doing so well so far.

I'm another snowball addict! On my finance spreadsheet I have 13 tabs and I could play on the snowball all day! I always tweak my spreadsheets and look at it about a million times a day :D

Hope the pain and things for your family get better soon. Im also looking forward to Jan when I can tackle the debt big time!

Well done, you should be proud of what you've achieved so far

Thanks for your nice comments keep coming back and update us on how the snowball going. i lve playing with it so it looks like i could afford to payoff 3k a month it looks so good then, but just a tad to optamistic. I ralised few weeks ago that i need to cut to minimum paymetns then pay over with what i have left.
Im waiting til jan and get xmas out of the way then will start again then. Just dont want to get into debt no more just to do xmas.

  • Haha Fraid so!! The day I discovered that website I did zero work!

I have subscribed so I will come and join the fun! I wish I could pay off £3k a month haha! itd be easy! I have done exactly that. All direct debits are minumum payments then my clever spreadsheet tells me how much to overpay and my snowball tells me where to pay it :D Pass me the nerd hat to go with that snowball tiara!

    I do have a diary, it is here...https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3513183 :)

  • JB,

Just read through the whole of your diary.

We are all here because we are human and have made mistakes. As they say you live and learn.

You have done really well so far, so keep going...you will get there in the end.

I think most of us on here have asked those questions. The important thing is that you're sorting it out. Keep going there is light at the end of the tunnel

  • Put up the xmas decs at the salon today looking quite festive,
got home and santander have written to us over the conduct of hubbys account. Another words as they cancelled the dd and it didnt get they have already stopped his credit limit and reduced it. So we paid 2k off and have 300 left and they have put the interest rate upto 34.9 as aresult. I hate santander. official.
Need to get that paid so no interest due. Not giving them thieving gits anymore of my hard earned dosh. Thrift comes out htis week so enought there to pay it off and get remainder of xmas pressies.
Had a check last night and realised i have most of the xmas shopping done apart from the odd bit so well impressed with myself as i must have done it in my sleep!!!!
Am just waiting to hear as my daughters bf phoned me today to ask if it was ok if he could propose to her tonight as it thier anniversary. I screamed down the phone so i think he is deaf now.
Just waiting for the call to hopefully tell me she has said yes!!!!!!

  • Aww I hope she did. That would be something fab to look forward to. There's nothing like a wedding to make everyone happy :). I laughed at your comment on your mother not buying herself anything expensive. That's my mum too. She always bought from the market. I bought her a top from Jenners one time and it cost £27. She nearly had a fit :rotfl:. Well I am going to buy her posh nighties for her Christmas and I am not going to any market or Bon Marche etc for them as I want her to look like a wee lady for the nurses coming in and out. Lucky you having all your shopping done and Pah to Santander x
