  • God what is with banks?
just gone on to check barclaycard statements and egg switched to bc on the 7th. Just looked and it said dd been paid total 2777 says it cam out of bank account. it showing as paid on bc but nothing on bank account. Bit strange so i phoned them and they said it would show on bc statement as i says the 11th but it wont be taken until the 14th due to an error. Surely it wouldnt be on a statement saying your card paid off when the payment hasnt even left the bank yet? bit odd. They said they cant do nothing for three days so if the payment gets cleared as there isnt enought in account then we are screwed. I always had an amount over the minimum so dont know if whenit changed over it got changed or i was supposed to change it on bc site i dont know. Never mind only time i hope a direct debit will bounce!!!!!!

    Hi there jellybean
I can't help you much with the debts - I think you are getting a handle on those. Though I will say that turning unsecured debts into secured via a mortgage is NEVER a good idea.

Just wanted to check how much debt is your and oh personal debt and how much the business? Do you have a good accountant who is making sure you claim all the tax decuctables for the business?

Ref your back and the hnpp? I would get the test done. Why? because there might be other medication that you can take for it IF you have that diagnosis.

I have mild (though it still bl00dy hurts) arthritis in my back. I hope this advice will help. I am religious about taking pain medication. So every 4 hours I alternate between paracetamol and nurofen. That way I don't overdose on either one but have something fighting the pain all the time. I also now take green lipped mussel tablets after my MIL had a significant improvement in the arthritis in her hands (she had had to stop cross stitching due to the pain, and has now started again). I too have found an improvement since I have been taking this.

Finally I also take a good multi mineral to make sure I am getting enough calcium etc to help with the bones.

You need to take care of yourself by eating healthily and making sure you drink enough liquid so you don't dehydrate. This won't help with the pain, but will help with general well being.

Also very gently if you are able to lose weight, then this will also help to take weight pressure off your joints. I hope I don't offend but hope the advice is helpful

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Goodness JB you are so big hearted, thinking about the girl without a home and offering a set of GHDs as a charity prize.

You need to do what you need to do. If you have room then put her up until she is sorted, but be careful.

And take care of your health too, this time of year makes all aches and pains bad.

I agree, the grey days are very wearing. x

    No offence taken at all.
Where do you get those green lipped tabs from the health shop will give them a try!!
Havent been on a diet but realised last night trousers were a bit loose and have lost an incediable 10llbs. Did ask the doc about testing but they wouldnt do it as it to expensive, but going in pain clinic in jan for jabs so will speak to consultant then and see what he knows about it. Could just be the arthritis but alot of coincidences if it is.
I have no business debt apart fron 5k overdraft thast is being tackled as we speak.
Realised lst night alot of this debt is hubbys business debt so dont want to secure it. I have actually only 13k of debt so not as bad as i thought. the rest has come from him trying to keep head a bove water. I reduced the amount he takes as earnings and upped the amount he puts in tax saving account so hopefully by end of jan we will be in a much better position.
One good thing already with mum helping out as the overdraft has gone significantly since she helped out so i think we will get gradually back on the right track.
Hubby is ebaying his junk like mad so that is helping.
    Thanks for your advice x

  • Just told santander where to shove there bacnk abd guess what the sun aint shining there!!!!!!!
The bloke that was dealing with the complaint has gone on holiday and the bloke who has been left with it has absoloutely no idea who what or when.
So have left a message telling them to come up with a soloution on how we are going to repay what we owe and we will go from there.
My daughter has just phoned me to rub it in that she has gone shopping with mymum to get her xmas presents as she wanted some clothes and then mother has given to her as she dosent see her very often! Its 5 weeks til xmas cant she wait? nitemare.
My mum is the most generous person you will ever meet but a total nightmare. Only thing is she will never buy herself anything expensive as it might be to dear but she would buy it for someon else. ????

I think i will get julie to write me a letter to santander as hers crack me up and we might get somewhere!!!!!!!
