  • Maybe you need a time out Jelly me love. Not 100% off the debt busting wagon but a little refocus, concentrate on the family, be careful but not obsessed and give it til after Xmas, then look at it all again. Just have a break, its all so bloody hard.
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Just read through your whole thread and I have to say, I agree with skint ^^. You've done so well up to this point, you deserve a little break. Relax a little over Christmas and you can look at everything with refreshed eyes in the new year.

  • Hi Jelly. I'm chilling about the debt until after Christmas and just concentrating on not adding to my debt until then. I will pay minimums obviously but everything else will be getting spent on gifts and social life from now until the end of the year. Unless I have loads extra, which has never happened before , so is unlikely to happen now :rotfl:. So long as you are meeting your debts then chill for a while and regroup your thoughts and get a plan of action in place. Which debt does snowball say to pay first??
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.00

    Trying to shift that debt!
  • ummm the cake worked lol

have some good staff just one winding me up into a coil. I love people who use thier initative, i hate it when they think they know everything when working for me for 6 weeks and think they know my business of 15 years better than me.
my other staff bought cake and i bought a tin of roses and we had a good old munch and window shopped online as it was quiet, hehe.
Tried to get the hospital to bring my appointment for my injections in my neck forward as it getting worse daily and the headaches make me want to vomit and i dont want to be bad over xmas as i forgot i was bad last year. just had 6 months pain free and forget how bad the pain gets.
Think santander will give me an answer tomorrow as hubby went to change to eon today and they turned him down beacause of credit file again, so he phoned santander and gave them another rollicking. They phoned back to say that it had just been given to them today (only put in complaint 6 weeks ago) so will see what tomorrow brings.:p

  • Whey hey santander have admittede total liability!!!!!! yeah!!!!!!!!!! letters on the way to experian and equifax to sort out credit file and copies to us to send to barclaycard as well!!!!! Some good news at least. Will find out if we get any compensation. All charges are going to be refunded.

Just been to the docs to try and get my nerve block injections bought forward. Had them last feb and supposed tohave them 6 monthly but appointment not until feb just to see consultant so will be 18 months from then. That will be if we have a pain clinic then. i cut the consultants hair and he has told me they prob closing it end of november.
I felt a right plebe i just started crying like a right muppet!! glad i had nurse practioner not the doc or i think they might have sectioned me. I never have a day off sick but i phoned this morning and said i wasnt coming to work that i couldnt be arsed think my staff thoughtid gone crazy, dont think i have been off sick in 5 years!
They were like are u ill i was like yip sick of work and the world so i having the day off!!! Dont think they expected that response.
I havent been sleeping for weeks because of my back and nurse p thinks i have severe sleep deprevation, i personally think i have just lost the plot.
Things dont normally get to me but combination of the pain, lack of sleep and total stress over debts and with mum helping like she had i think everythings just gone into meltdown.
Still not doing anything today sat with feet up ( feeling a wee bit guilty).
Going to get xmas out the way and next year is going to be different.
Going to prioritise the debts and payments:j
Going to save for a holiday:j
Going to make sure i dont work 6 days a week for 18 months without anytime off.:o
From to day going to start listening to my body when its hurting and start working aout a proper wat of taking my painkillers without leaving the pain till it gets so bad that i dont get any relief.
Anyway had a lovely day with my mum yesterday we went out shopping for the day, not that i bought much just a few pressies for the dds perfume and jarmies etc did buy myself a black dress in dotty p's for 30 quid think that will do the xmas party and xmas day.
Mum is going to do xmas this year which is great as xmas being the weekend we are working xmas eve so no last minute running around how lovely. :p
My mum is great when all this crap is over i am going to save and take her away on holiday (after paying her 30k) back!!!!
Cant wait for two weeks when we go to london for two days to watch mamma mia and go to stratford shopping centre. This will be for my 40th bday which i cant believe is here. do wonder if that why i feeling a bit sorry for myself. They do say life begins at forty.
Have just informed my darling hubby that he has lost his sofa as nurse said she thinks the pain in my middle back is caused (which i didnt think about) as i sit on my sofa the tele is in the corner in the right and i put lappy on sofa arm which is to the left and sit facing forward with legs to the right and you got i twist to see tele and twist back for lappy. Where i have been doing this for years the joint has got stuck and sitting on the nerve and all the boney bits around the joint have got bigger and hence the arthritis. So now have hubbys sofa wher i can sit proper and not wirst to do anything. He will have the bad back now. bless. He says he will do anything to see me happy again, he has never seen me like this he says im a blubbering wreck. He said you sure you aint menopausal!! Suppose i could be that would make sense i suppose.:D
Think i might have a little dose now :rotfl:

  • Aww bless your heart.

You do right. Think about it all after Christmas. But keep downloading here.

we need to hear about mama mia!
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Omg i cant believe it got home from work today and obviously me being the blubbering work at the docs yesterday worked as i had an appointment come through for my pain injections bubut for the 22nd dec. Now how great is that apart from no way in this world will i be able to take the 2 days off work because of the anasetic as it is christmas and i have around 70 clients booked in the 2 days before xmas.
The appoinment is also at a hospital 40 miles away when the one i normally goto is .5 miles from work. Think they do it as they know you in pain you will need it but no damn well getting there and back in ni on impossible esp if it snows like it did last year. i know if i dont go though will be at bottom of the list!!!!! Other problem is it wil cost me 700 quid in those two days plus xmas tips and i know that sounds daft as health is important but these people are my clients all year round and as much as they know how bad my back is they booked these appointments some of them in june!!
Going to phone hospital and plead they will be able to postpone it to after xmas and hope they understand as being self employed with a shop that time of year does come first.
Went to physio yesterday as the doc wont send me as they havent got the funds. It was 40 quid which sort of messed the budget a bit this week as i had yesterday off as well, but worth every penny as felt better today and slept like a log last night.

If one of your staff was going to be made homeless and didnt have anywhere to live would you take them in until they could find somewhere to live? i have an 18 year old who got kicked out by her mother at 15 went to live with her dad whose new wife didnt want her, she lived in a caravan in the garden until recently she couldnt take no more, her stepmother bit of a witch, some of the texts she has sent her i couldnt believe what i was seeing. So she moved out to a friend who has decided she can stay there as she wanted to make a bit of xtra money by renting a room to her and has been found out so now she got to go. Flats she can afford are diar apart from one tonight i looked at with her was lovley just hope the landlord will take her. But if that dosent come off i feel like i should help her or is that interferring? people of told me she not my problem but that could be my daughter! she cant move back to her dads as her stepmother sold the caravan the day before she actually moved.
I just dont like to see people who work so hard trying thier hardest to be keep being dumped on from a big height.
Dunno just wish i could fix the big bad world sometimes.
Anyway santander being idiots again. Told them to phone my hub yesterday at work gave them the number and they phoned his mobile today (which is always in his drawer) so he dosent answer it and he picked the message up after hours on a friday. Bloke had promised me that it would all be resolved by today. So that will be next week now as they wont work weekends. Just dont think they listen ever.
Had a good day at work nice an busy. Think i might do a raffle for children in need and have a pair of ghds as the prize and all the money from raffle tic sale can go to the charity.:T
