Just opened all my mail and i cant believe it. EON the htieving gits have decided that as i am 274 in credit (which apart from my winter bill last year) when i was 16 in debit that i am not paying enough at 136 a month so they want to put it up to 200 a month. Hoe does that work? I have just wrote them a stinking email and told them to stick there gas and electric where the sun dont shine, i would like my 274 back with immdeiate effect. And when scottishpower take over my account with 354 saving a year then they can send me a bill and i will pay the correct amount. Lets see what happens. Blimmin cheek i say. Anywhay rant over rofl:rotfl:
Still waiting for outcome with santander see if they going to sort out the rest of there mess, but not holding out much hope.

hi skint
Yep done the old wardrobe today and have clothes with labels on still so they going on ebay the weekend . hubby been good has put loads on ebay got upto 452 so far and still some time to go.
Money at work not good this time of year as it so quiet but if weather doesnt get to cold then maybe a couple of carboots.
Spoke to santander today and have already had 100 off them and they have completely admitted fault. They are going to get the late payments taken of credit file by writing to barclays and they have said they will make sure we are not out of pocket. So we will wait and see what happens. We looked at our mortgage today as it due fore renenwal and got turned down because of the late payments so i went steaming down to santander and tbh they were so helpful i apologised for ranting!!!! As i said to the girl its gone on now and when it starts to affect your life for no reason than there mistake im a fraid it made me cross. So good news to come i think.
I also took a pair of linen trousers back today which i bought for holiday and didnt wear so thought they might not fit next summer so they going back, would never have done that before so proud of myself!!!!!
Just hope when i see consultant next week they dont need to opereate. Swelling gone down but still painful. They said it was uncommon that the joints have widened rather than closing. They said it would normally be if i had a massive trauma to the hand but havent so dont know why it has happened. not good though as it my scissor hand for work. tut
So the rest of oct and nov going to be interesting at work to say the least.Mum 30k/29000

Even though seemed to have done everything i can to get these debts down they just caught up (because of drop in income) and bit me on the !!!!.
Mun has lent us 25k on top of the 5k she gave us in feb that is a total of 30k. Have now set up a 500 a month payment plan back into her account. This has saved us a fortune in interest ( as its interest free loan) and 700 a month to combat the other debts.
Have now included hubbys debt on top of what i thought we owed, so just sitting here with snowball and sorting through it as he started to get in a a panic how we were going to pay everything to. Dont have to start paying mum til after christmas so this will help with the overdraft. So here goes back to debt busting my !!!! off so better new year and life to come.!!!! Hope everyone ok havent been on much been a nitemare should never have gone on the holiday but didnt want o lose the money but it tipped us over the edge for not earning for two weeks. Onwards and upwards just dont want to se how long it going to take yikes!!Mum 30k/29000

Jelly Bean at least once you work it out you can then face it head on. Dont be scared or upset as we have all been there. Just think of this as your major light bulb moment and get the whole lot out in the open and go for it. I reckon tht when we have a load of debt then we have lots of periods during our journey where we feel overwhelmed and this is just one of yours. One good positive point is that your OH appears to be coming on board with you. That's fab. Chin up my lovely lady and lets get this sorted xx5 Year plan. Ty mit
Think after hubby told me we had another 30k think it just sunlk the ship completely. Overwhelmed was problably a slight understatement. Think that is why i wasnt looking forward to the holiday as i knew what we had to face whe we came back. If mum hadnt come to the rescue i dont know what we would have done. Rent on the shop due next week and there wasnt enough to pay it all. At least now i can sleep again at night. it is going to be a long road 48 months now but better than consolidating which we did look at this week by putting it on mortgage until they done credit check and seen hubbys late payments because of santander. Mind u i went steaming in there and they said they will sort it including the credit files as it was all there fault. They said we will not be out of pocket so will see what happens there. Thank you all for support have been so scared this week didnt even want ot come on. Im a bit of a all or nothing i think is there much point in paying off a quid but have realised just what a difference this week after reading some of the diaries will follow suit.
As regards to the hand swelling has gone down have an appointment on wed to see consultant to fing exactly what is going on think it osteoarthritis as they had diagnosed it without xrays but least i know now not going nutts!! Think that what the problem is with ankles to so will push for more tests.
Hubby wants to put other debts on mortgage santnader said they will but think we can manage them now with mum helping out what do u think? i say pay less interest and pay them off as we are. Would be better off but not in the long run another 15 years as apposed to 5 i think mse the best way.Mum 30k/29000

:eek:dont do it:eek:. It would be short term gain for long term pain. As you said snowball says 4 years but if you put it onto your mortgage then it will take much longer and all that interest . At the end of the 4 years you will just have your mortgage to pay and you wil be much better off. Also when I initially did my snowball it said 2017 or something crazyily similar. I then played with it and decided what I could afford to overpay and I have brought it way back. I reckon you could cut the 4 years back a fair bit if you continue the way you have been going. You know yourself it makes sense to do it the MSE way xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
