I agree, even though Ive not alot I have not allocated to debts to start with I find little bits to put against the one I am targetting, and it will have come down by an extra £11 plus since I started, which has to be good!
So it works no matter how tight or how much wriggle room you have in your budget.
And Jelly and MIT are snowball queens, Im not even looking at mine til Ive hit my 30k target... Im focussing on the highest interest, once I hit the target I will be looking at my debt free day, but thats for the end of the year....
cant wait!Trying to shift that debt!0 -

Heya,
First time posting, hoping someone will know what they are talking about.
In June 2011, my partner recieved a letter at his parents address from a debt collector claiming he owed Vodafone over £300.
He had no idea what it was about as he had never been contacted by Vodaphone and was under the impression he had paid off his contract years ago?
He was told his last payment was made in July 2007 and if he's paid it off all he has to do is proove it to them with a bank statment. But that wont proove anything, it'l only confim the made a payment which they already know?
He has asked them to have Vodafone contact him to confirm it is a legit. debt and explain why they never contacted him. The debt collectors will not do this. They are constantly calling him up demanding that he pay the money owed and being increadably cheeky with him?
What I want to know is can a debt be sold on to a colletor when no attempt at contact/ notification of the debt was made?
Is it legal for them to have waited over 4 years before contacting about a debt?
And will he have to pay it when the debt collector is refusing to send him any proof from Vodafone that it is a real debt and how it came to be. ie he missed a payment or he still had £1 to pay and its mounted up in interest...... if that is the case is the debt legit since they never sent him a bill for the small amount and instead allowed it to mount up?
Hi ammo6106,

Aww bless you, beanie, hope the arthritus is feeling better today.
Lots to thnk about on the stepbrother front, if they want to see him perhaps its best to sit back for now.
As for your daughter, that will be lovely, yes they grow up and move out. Bristol is a nice place - I worked there for 9 months and loved it.
Baking and cooking for family is lovely, if the cake turned out so well why not take one along for your daughter as a gift. Cheaper than buying something and more personal too. xxTrying to shift that debt!0 -
I posted a picture on facebook for her to see. We have just eaten it and its rather nice lol Did think about doing that if i got time between then and now see how it goes.
God it so quiet today think we gonna slit our wrists in a bit. It took alot to bake that cake alot of swearing involved!!!!!!
Just had an argument with hubby as i have no day off again this week and its his mothers birthday on sat and he just informed me he didnt have time/forgot to get a pressie. As i told him he had day off yesterday but played golf again second week running so he had plenty of time. Then it my fault cause i didnt remind him for the third time. MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So just been running around the shops looking for a pressie for someone who says she dont want anything which makes it harder. So i bought her a cardi and hope its ok. Better be!!!:DMum 30k/29000
