Tescos are well within their rights to pull this and considering the amount of items they sell, trading standards would look at the few that they do get wrong as well within the amount they consider acceptable. Especially as a refund of the difference is paid immediately at the customer service point.
I used to work in retail for another of the large supermarkets and considering the vast amount of price changes that need to be done daily then there are always going to be mistakes and as we all know from the threads on this board, a lot of the time it is in the customers favour.
That said, it would be great if it is retained as I have had a fair few DTDs recently after missing out on countless in the past.0 -

Apologies and next time I will check it out with their HO.

I would have done the same as you in posting it too. If it had been correct, MSErs would have been alerted to take advantage of current mispricing before it ended.
Thanks for taking the time to let us know anyway.

Sorry...but that's a load of twaddle.
Mistakes happen........ everywhere. As long as it is dealt with adequately, that's enough. As I said, dtd is a bonus, not a right.
Some people it seems can't but help getting their knickers in a twist when things go wrong, & human error becomes deceit. Must be nice to be perfect. Me, I just see it as good luck if something is mislabelled & I can get it cheaply or even better...free.

I think, not 100% sure, it's just a refund, or a replacement if you wish.
Dtd is for overcharging as a result of mislabelled shelf egdes or double scans etc.0
