If ANY member of staff at Peterborough's Serpentine Green Tesco said today was Sunday 10th, I'd get it confirmed with someone else - they are taught to LIE, LIE, LIE their way through avoiding customers going for DTD's.
Dreadful Tesco - possibly the worse trouts in civilisation.

In Asda if I am overcharged, I always ask for , and get, a £2 giftcard for my trouble

The Peterborough Tesco is the one I shop at and am gutted now as I've never used dtd! The trouts are definitely awful there!

I've only just found out about the dtd on the stripey tumblers. Looked at them a few weeks ago and thought they were nice. Was going to buy a few because I keep breaking my glasses but couldn't justify the price with an empty wallet and can't get to T's today!
  • Just spoken to the CS Manager at my local Tesco's.
As far as they are aware, this is just not true. DTD if you are overcharged in store, is still an ongoing policy.

Yes, it is their policy & yes as that is the case, they should stick to it, but it does make me laugh though. This is the only store Nationwide that offers this sort of scheme & yet people still refer to it as 'dreadful Tesco's.' Anywhere else & it would simply be a refund, end of.

I think thats the point that he/she is making! Even if they told the truth, he/she would not believe them.

ASDA as already mentioned earlier refunds the overcharge and gives a £2 gift card, Waitrose always give me a full refund of the amount paid and I get to keep the item. Both stores have always been appologetic and v helpful. the trouts at T's could learn a thing or two.

Another tip for W'rose they still give the multi buy discount on reduced items. Got 6 toothpastes yesterday original cost £3.19 each total paid for 6 was 16p.
Made up for all the offers I've missed at T's

Lol, no trouts in Mr T's in my neck of the woods, they're all lovely..as they are in Sainsbury's. Trouts here reside particularly in Morrisons. No Waitrose anywhere near me unfortunately...or Asda.....fortunately! ;)

I checked at work today and the store manager, large Extra, knows nothing about it ending so I would happily say it is not true.
