Amazon Price Drop Policy - Claim Your Refund!

Looks like Amazon are ending this policy - I just applied for a refund, and although it was granted this time, the e-mail finished with:Please note that only orders placed on or before September 1, 2008 are eligible for a price difference refund under the Post-Order Price Guarantee policy. However, we do continue to offer our Pre-order price guarantee.

I ordered a laptop last night for £366.72 - I then got a promo email from amazon this morning, and found that the same laptop is now £353.35, which is annoying.
It's due to be delivered tomorrow, is there anyway I can reclaim the difference?
Thanks.0 -

Check your account you may be able to cancel the order and then reorder, if not i would email them and ask, otherwise send back and reorder which seems quite alot of hassle for £10 odd0 -
"Pre-order price guarantee"
what's this then?? How is it different?? Thnx0 -
So has the Amazon price drop refund policy stopped?
Krazy K.0 -
Why not just return it? I returned a game which I found cheaper elsewhere. And I gave that as the reason I was returning it. No problems, got my money back.jauntyangle wrote: »I ordered a laptop last night for £366.72 - I then got a promo email from amazon this morning, and found that the same laptop is now £353.35, which is annoying.

In fact I thought that was at least part of the point of the price guarantee - to stop people just returning an item and ordering again at a lower price.
Check you may have to postage costs though.0 -

Yes, it has definitely stopped.0 -
Damn, loads of the items I bought off amazon were the cheapest at the time - and most have now dropped by about £5 each!
Thanks for confirming x
