As they are not married she would not have been able to put him on the birth certificate unless he was present at the time and agreed to it. If this was not the case then has he seen this birth cert? If his name is on it and he was not there she must have lied somewhere along the line, ie took along an imposer with fraudulent ID. If he was with her when birth was registered it's a bit late to argue the toss now! If his name is not on it she has been trying to pull a fast one.
