I am not technical, but are you using decent leads?

Who are you refering to? The set has Freeview built in. The snakes appear on freeview broadcasts. There are no leads in this case apart from the aerial going into the back of the set and the power lead (provided by Panasonic).

If you want detailed info please see AV Forums. One bloke had to go into Currys and show them the problem which they then claimed happened on all plasmas. He connected the same DVD player to a nearby Pioneer plasma, played the same scene... and guess what.. no purple artifacts. Currys gave in.

Thank you, an answer that relates. What I dont understand is why you are refering me to another discussion when I am taking part in this one, or am I not allowed. The question wasn't asking for a detailed answer, as the one you have given is sufficient and not in detail. But hey, thanks for answering the question.

    Thanks for that.

I would be sorely tempted but i BELIEVE ( so do not shout if I am wrong ) this is a french company and everything is done from france.

I also believe ( more strongly ) that their customer service ethics are just below dirty Curries or dirty Dixons.

I am not sure about Pixmania ... I know there has been some queries about models possibly being European specification before.

Those interested in the model suggested using them -- there is a voucher on the PixMania site which will knock another 25 quid off...

Total products ordered : £ 798.60 Inc. VAT
    Delivery costs : £ 23.40 Inc. VAT
    Total order : £ 822 Inc. VAT

(I am not sure if you can collect it from their London store and knock off the 23.40?) ... their store checkout pages do mention the parent group of Dixons.

Quidco will knock a further 2% (16.44) off...

So its down to £805.56 ... or IF it is possible to collect it and you can wipe out the delivery cost it'll be £782.68 with quidco.

I don't know Jordy ... but you could also try and pick up a TV stand for 1p ... see this: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=342703

I got one today ... all I need know is a TV to put on it!
