But should you have to know if they are dyslexic before criticising ?
Yes some can be hard to follow but again, do you know whether they can't be bothered or just can't ?
My daughter was belittled on a shop floor by her manager on a busy saturday afternoon, asked if she was 'thick or stupid' because she couldn't answer quick enough the question she was asked. (She needs time to put into words what she is thinking) Humiliated she walked out the job, never returned. Unfortunately it had taken her over 6 months to gain the confidence to look for another job.
So my point is that if no one points out that they have problems with grammar, spelling or clearly expressing themselves then we just shouldn't just assume it is laziness.

You do that in an English exam and i'm afraid you'll fail.
Funny. I had no trouble passing mine.
(In other words, you are talking rubbish.)
Examiners aren't stupid. They know the difference between fragmented sentences and a valid use. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Well if we're being pedantic, you've put an apostrophe in "Haven't". If you're going to reproduce quotes, then you should reproduce them as they were written. In this case that should be "Havent".
WRONG!
I wasn't quoting the OP.
I was simply correctly punctuating what I wrote. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Of course they can. This is nonsense. A bit like complaining about split infinitives (which was just some bizarre obsession with Latin on the part of one Victorian guy).
Just because something's technically a conjunction doesn't mean you can't begin a sentence with it. Stylistically 'And' (and 'But') at the start of a sentence are very useful."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Have you noticed how often the person who is attempting to correct the spelling and grammar of another poster makes a mistake himself?
I'm not against bad spelling and grammar being pointed out to the poster where it looks like he/she has just been very lazy, which has resulted in the post being very hard to read. I think people who point out just the one spelling error in an otherwise good post are a little on the sad side.0 -
You should put an apostrophe after "freakin" in the titleSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
