Agreed. Stupid to the tune of £749.99.

If all the rules and regulations of ebay are met, the highest bid is a contract to buy. Look at it the other way round. If I was to place a bid for £1000, won the auction and then said that I don't think it's worth a grand and wimp out, I'd get negative feedback and a bad name.

So I disagree with others' comments about having a laugh, getting a life and so on and so forth. If you want to put items up on ebay worth that kind of money, you make double sure of the rules and regulations. And if you get stung, it's your OWN mistake.

I'd complain to Ebay if I was the highest bidder. I doubt I'll get the console in the end, but I'd complain just to make a point and to make the seller think twice about just popping it on ebay and bargaining on a quick sale.

Just like everything else in life, read the fine print and open your eyes. Or risk getting stung.
