why did he seller set a 1p starting bid(why not set a higher starting bid) and why did the seller finish it early

There is a possibility that the OP agreed to pay the seller £750 and asked the seller to end the listing early to sell it to him.

But after that, he tries to screw the seller up by only wanting to pay 1p.

    It is just a possibility.

It was actually going for £450 before he strarted cancelling bids. so he just missed the op bid. get over it there is nothing you can do to make a seller sell.

There seems to be a bit of double standards here ....

if someone wins at a great price for the seller and then doesn't pay, its do a NPB etc, do a neg etc etc:mad:

if this happens its.....get over it, you were never going to get it!:D

I believe your not going to get the item - but not because of the seller.

Didn't eBay post messages a few weeks ago stating that no PS3 items were able to be sold on eBay, and if they appeared they would be removed?

And therefore, eBay are not going to support any case you make against the seller?

There are plenty of PS3's for sale....

people either list them on a 24hr auction, and on a weekend when they are less likely to be found out by Ebay before the auction ends....or some are listing them through Ebay.com (US) where there is no restriction...

User emailed me back saying I have no chance won't be selling to me at that price.. Please advise what I can do?

You can`t do anything.I would say just forget it,as it would not be nice to do anything just to get PS3 for 1 pence.

I thought ebay were only removing PS3's that were pre-orders? and not ones that are actually physically for sale now instead of next year.

That's the way I interpreted the ruling on the ebay page regarding PS3's

looks like I will have buy one for a family member .......

I will get one in a proper shop!
  • Morally the seller should let you have it for a penny, but he won't. He must have panicked when he saw his highest bid was a penny and cancelled the auction but couldn't or didn't cancel your bid.
I am finding more and more of my auctions go right to the last minute before they reach a decent price thanks to the increasing use of sniping. It puts years on you but it is such a relief when someone does snipe.
