tell you what, if you get another one, i will give you 2p for it?? would you take it? after all, thats a 100% profit margin for you... and thats quite rare on ebay stuff now..0

pennylane... dont be naive.
The seller may have said that he decided to keep it..and that was his reason when he cancelled it.
However, his listing says he will end early for £750. It is highly likely that somebody offered him something he accepted.
Equally.. the seller knows the rules.. and just uses comments like that to throw the wool over peoples eyesBe nice0 -
i know its not the same but i recently won a ps2 game and as it went for a lot less than the buyer wanted, after i patyed for it via paypal,he refunded my cash and said it was damaged(!!!!!!!!) i hate the way peopel can do this if they decide they havent made enough cash on a item0

What amazes me about this is that the original poster only opened his ebay account on 26 December & managed to pick up a bargain PS3 on his first day.
Now that's what I call lucky!0 -

Heh, i can just imagine the email you sent him.
'Hi, would you like the penny through Paypal or at collection?'0 -
Just a few small points here.............
What prat puts their MOBILE PHONE NUMBER on an ebay advert?!
That is the worst ebay advert I have ever seen!!! Its obvious he bought it with the intention to sell on ebay just by the way he has worded his advert.
Just report him, there is no legally binding contract so he will just get a warning. Or just keep ringing him on his mobile............ (not that I promote harrasment!)0 -
Why after cancelling all the bids did they not remove the listing?
Surley the last 6 minutes of an auction are the most active?0 -
I personally use an account just for buying. I try to look for items where the seller has priced it wrong, especially newly listed BINs and buy them if I spot them.
If the seller refuses to honour it, I tell them honour it or get negative feedback. A lot of sellers will take a hit just to keep good feedback but this is only likely to work if it's someone who's running a proper business and already expects to make a loss sometimes.
This auction looks like it's run by an occasional ebay seller who isn't likely to give a way a playstation 3 for the sake of ebay feedback and not worth doing anything in this instance. Think about what you would do if you were him.0 -

Probably had more than 1 to sell, he was probably contacting bidders and asking them to buy off ebay and cancelling their bids. That way he gets lots of buyers with 1 auction and very little fees.0 -
