Maybe the seller forgot to cancel the bid before ending the auction?

Don't think you stand a chance of getting the PS3 as somewhere on ebay regarding completion of auctions it says a buyer or seller cannot be forced into completing an auction so even if you file a non performing seller they can get out of it

If ebay tried to make the seller complete the auction (don't think they can) he could just cancel his ebay ID and resrat a new ID as he does not have much feedback

No idea at all... but I believe he could have cancelled the auction.

not if there was less than 12 hours to go, with a winning bid on it.

Right so, you really think this guy is going to let you go round to his house to collect the item and you hand over a one pence coin in exchange. Get real!

Its true if you won the item fair and square, but seriously get a life and have a bit of christmas spirit at least!!!

You say you already have one, so get over it. If you 'really' want/need another one bid on another one to your maximum bid value.

You are not going to get this one, and so I think its time to forget it and move on!!
  • Call me Scrooge, but Christmas or not, this seller shouldn't just get away with flouting the rules and the spirit of eBay. I'd report them, as well as leaving negative feedback. I hope they've missed out on a lot of money by ending the auction early before other bidders got involved, but unfortunately if they have, they'll never know.
    Merry Christmas everyone!

This is hilarious! And the sad thing is, youre actually being serious. Get over it and move on.

Heh, i can just imagine the email you sent him.

'Hi, would you like the penny through Paypal or at collection?'

theres plenty on there....either on a 1 day auction which has usually finished before Ebay can catch them, especially if listed on a weekend. Or some have listed through Ebay.com (US)
