Today I ordered my self a herb roller, my Dear Dad (Rip) used to
make mint sauce with one years ago, I remember standing in the kitchen
watching him and savouring the wonderfull smell of the mint:D
My Mum gave their old one away to my brother but I found one on t' net
so I will get a mint cutting from Mum and make my own:j

    Just looked at your link.

I make hassleback potatoes (small knife slits across the back of the roast potato before its roasted).
It takes a while with a scewer & a knife, are those mint/herb rollers sharp enough to slice into a raw spud?

I don't have nor want fancy gadgets, and all I need are the following:

    Can opener
    cork screw
    slow cooker
    kettle
a great set of surgical steel cooks knives (nearly sliced a finger off once :o)
    water filter
plus the essential cooker/oven and fridge.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Even better, do you have a local poundshop. They quite often have them. I have had mine for some months now and they are great. I do have a sandwich toaster but dont use it that often now I have the toaster bags. I only tend to use the sandwich toaster when the grandsons come as they prefer these , like Mom makes, to my made in the bag ones.

He won't, he'll love you once he tastes the pizzas! We had pizzas done in the pizza maker yesterday, best pizzas ever and my OH said he would never, ever buy shop bought or takeaway again.

I have a Nicer Dicer but the cleaning of the holes puts me off using it. Nice if having guests to chop all the same size etc.

Also you have to slam the thing down!!

Remember the auto choppers of the 80's, they were good!! (still had to ram down though!)

I have had Juicers and food processors BUT the cleaning puts you off so they become one hit wonders!!!

I stick it in the dishwasher.

As for the slamming, I get DH to do the hard stuff;)

Why, because they've caught my eye.;)

    Do I need them ......no.:naughty:

    Do I want them......erm yes.:D

Last week it was sausage makers......managed, so far, to resist.

There's an ongoing Bento equipment theme thats fairly constant at the mo.

Plus I have developed an unhealthy interest in Lock and Lock boxes.:rotfl:

Anyone else here get obsessed ala OS equipment, ingredients or stuff?
