The council website is good but the keep all the best information is in the PDF links on the pages eg the maps & info about parks etc. I wish they would find a way of incorporating the pdf information into the pages so you don't have to load every pdf.0 -
train station is about 30 secs away, might be worth parking in cathays or even heath and catching the train to central station.
That way parking is free, and if you get on at cathays the conductor rarley gets to you in time as its so close!0 -
Thanks everynr for your valueable suggestions. I am back from cardiff and had a wonerful time as the weather was lovely yesterday-- sunny, the whole day.
I managed to park at the begining of the Bute street which was free parking and travel lodge from there was only a 7 min walk.
Thanks againI wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
Pub on the mud?
Inn on the River?0 -
Personally if I had a car I wouldnt take it to Cardiff. Like some of the posters have revealed, it isn't a nice or safe place to go.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Yes we used to call Inn on the River, Pub on the Mud - in my younger days (gosh I sound like my mum LOL), me and a few mates used to go there to see live music. I thought I heard recently it was being converted into flats or something ?

there is parking by the civic centre (just in front of the uni/ student union (5 min walk?) which i believe is free after 6.30pm.
sure someone else will come along with more detailed info.
where are you traveling from? cardiff is pretty accessable by train, and cathays station is directly behind the registry office which is next door to the union. could be an option for you, as it is well serviced from cardiff central.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0
