I went to Boots yesterday too and frankly the choices were just a waste of time - went to Matalan and bought 2 pairs of boots for myself £8 and £17 - they should do me for new footwear for the next year or so :) Wohooo! (1/2 price btw) also picked up an extra pressie for OHs niece and a few bits and bobs. Then picked up a few bits in Tesco and Asda too including Tesco Finest gift bags that aren't really marked as christmassy so can be used throughout the year.

Managed to get to boots in Aylesbury today, slightly better "haul" :)

Spent £45 in vouchers (pigsback) but got for over £90 worth of sets and pressies. So slightly cheaper than 3 for 2 (well 1/2 price) but still it might get cheaper next week so I have a further £30 of Boots vouchers in case I find any further bargains :)

  • I have bought 3 tins of chocolate chip shortbread biscuits in a festive patterned tin from Sainsburys reduced by half price to 99p. All with BBE dates of Feb 2008.

Bought Christmas cards a week before Christmas from Rosebys as they were reduced to £1 a set and were BOGOF.

Not buying wrapping paper. I have enough for next Christmas and after that I want to start using plain brown paper so it can be recycled.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
