I can't sleep. DD has now gone down with the same bug as ds and I assume she has really sore throat as she keeps wincing when she swallows as well as having a hacking cough and a temperature. I keep having to get up to her so thought I might have a pooter on here and check out if any online sales have started yet but can't find any good deals at all so will have to be patient.
Today we have our alternative christmas dinner. We always go off to my parents for christmas so I like to have a special meal for just the four of us before we go. It is turkey and all the trimmings although I don't have too much to do as we keep it fairly simple. Will definitely need a loooong walk after it though.
Dh and I are talking about putting our Aussie move back by 6 months as we could do with saving a bit more and Dh's new job is a 12 month contract. I am a bit disappointed about it as I had set my heart on going in the summer. Heart says go sooner/ head says stay and save a bit more, got myself wound up tonight by looking at houseprices and how expensive they are. Aussielass, I did a google of where you are and wow it is beautiful.
Have a lovely day everyone.
It will be our summer in August, so better going in our winter:)

dogrose wrote:well just back from ASDA. had planned to go to somerfield then thought...what the hell. it is crazy down there. people seem to forget the shops are only closed 2 days at the most. was looking at some of the trolleys and wondering how many people they were feeding.
was there too early to buy the christmas spiritso will pop in to somerfield later to get some wine, beer and the few odds and ends I forgot. might buy another meal or two as the fridge isnt quite as full as I thought it would be with the turkey in there now.
rest of today will be spent shopping for some last minute pressies. all the presents need to be wrapped. still need to do christmas cards for the neighbours. the house is a such a mess. washing pile is sky high.
why do men get out of doing all this? unfair comment though...mr dogrose is at work earning pennies to keep me in the manner I have become accustomed to!!
I send my OH to do the last minute shop - the rest of the year we share the chore.

well yesterday we noticed in the evening we had no hot water ( when daugther was first sick ) ahhhh so phoned british gas ( we pay for 24 emergancy service. anyway because we weren't high prority cause we still had heating. ( even tho i explained i had a 3 year old being sick and a 18m old with dodgy tummy) but they they said we would have an engineer with us today ( sat ) between 8 and 1. ok great. he has been only to say we need a part which wont be here till wednesday sometime between 8-6. nightmare. so i am waiting for my mum to finish work so i can go to hers and bath the kids. as neither child likes to have a shower. but hey all in the fun of xmas.0
