Thoroughly agree KC- well apart from The Bingo money, i still have an aversion to Bingo..*shudder*
It is surprising how it builds up- i used to count a job i did for cash which was a bit of cleaning for a neighbour whilst she was away-amazing how it mounts up i can tell you. Lots of little things do add up and it is about getting a balance and what works for you. It could also be a bar job once a week, just put aside purely for mortgage shortfall- everything will help.
Well i can say that today is the first day which has been a nsd so far- i say so far because i have to take DD2 to the docs, no doubt she will require some things.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Hi Bob - will try and keep up this time.
We are now DF in the house (apart from large mortgage), but it is really tight even though I am on a good whack. We haven't had a pay rise for 3 years and things are not looking good for this year, so with inflation and the 2xDS and 2xDD growing up its goingto get tougherI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Have an aversion to Bingo myself.Health problems kind of limit my ability for extra earnings, I only get away with working at the moment by being employed by hubby's business. I'm quite content for now with my plans without it rocking the boat too much. Some things in life are 'priceless' and I wouldn't want to give them up. Like you said getting a balance. Hope DD is o.k?

Reminds me of when I went to Australia some years ago - bingo there is taken very seriously. They don't do the silly jargon over there - none of this "Legs Eleven" or "Doctor's Orders" nonsense, just "one and one - eleven --- six and two, sixty two..." However, they call the numbers twice as fast as callers do over here, and it amazed me to watch some people with five or six books on the go and managing to keep up with the numbers being called out with hardly a pause for breath. They did a lot of prize bingo, I remember, things like a set of kitchen canisters or a tray of meat for the barbie! Very handy that would be, nowadays, the price things are.One life - your life - live it!0

Hope you're generally keeping ok though, and the rest of the gang who pop in here who I also haven't been ignoring, honest
G-J...hopefully more with it in the second half of this year......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0
