Well done Bobster. You stay positive ok. Ps one day you can stay with me - when the builders go and Steve and Andy will help you stalk Johnny Depp ok? Promise.
I was up most of the night stressing about rioters as mum and dad live close to some of the troublespots. Plus it brought back memories of my childhood and the riots of the 1980s.
I spent last night making lots of new friends in the Moneysaver's Arms (downstairs) talking about the riots - a good way to verbalise my worries and this afternoon i took a sick friend out to lunch and she is much better. So a money spending day but a happy and productive one whilst all the carnage is going on around us.
Lots of mathematicians and economists down there i think, and people who are nice to chat too when you are worried.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Mr Z how do you reckon the rioting can be stopped?
If you come up with a good enough solution i will vote for you to be the Mayor of London. Bet they've never had an undertaker before.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

It'll just peter out. The violent protests have stopped. OK, they will happen again, but this country has spent a lot of time an effort into making that inevitable, so inevitable it shall be.
At the moment it's just looting. People just want something for nothing, what you do is attach a sufficient price to the "nothing" so that people make a rational choice and stop.
Lumping both together under "rioting" just makes finding solutions more difficult. It's a bit like lumping a common cold and the Black Death under "Acute Sneezing Disease" and wondering why your cures only affect half of the cases.savingwannabe wrote: »If you come up with a good enough solution i will vote for you to be the Mayor of London. I wouldn't want to mayor - it requires living in London.."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

What *exactly* do you mean by that? Obviously everyone falls asleep virtually all nights, so it's probably not that.
He will come in around 7pm and is usually asleep by 9pm- in between he will have tea and then a shower..he often falls asleep on the couch- don't know how else to put it except that is what he does.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

He will usually wake up briefly around 11pm and go to bed and yes he will sleep all the way through. The only time he will stay awake is if we go somewhere in the evening to the pub quiz- in which case he has an especially late night and is playing pool. He says if he is kept occupied or is doing something then he will stay awake. He does work long hours and lately it has been 6 days a week 7-7pm. That isn't always the case i have to say..but it has been the past two months. So as you can see very little time to get anything resolved and i need to pick my times carefully. He is also keen to avoid any conflicting conversations and it is not one to confront or argue.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
