If I had a chocolate stash it would be calling to me all the time and I WOULD snarf the lot !Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

OK, maltesers on their way ... 1 ... 2 ... 3
Ellidee - The stash needs to be big enough so that you definitely cannot eat it in one sitting and it is useful to sit and be very specific about what is in the stash. After a while, because the food is always available, it loses it's magic ...
Beanie - The stash can be anything from peanuts, through to fresh bread ... whatever food you are 'not safe' around. Obviously, one cannot have a huge stash of fresh bread in the top drawer and you deal with that in a slightly different way, but FOOD is just food, it's not good or bad and doesn't have magical qualities. But for me chocolate is as good as a hug and Mr NL is not at my house tonight
OK, nuff said, now I forgot to mention the quality street (sorry, SORRY)0 -

I tend to go one of two ways:- it sits there for months until it blooms, then one day I'll look at the use-by date and say "Oh, this needs using up." and that's was that...
- I just eat it fairly much immediately...

So it would have to be big enough to have its own gravity then?NorthernLas wrote: »But for me chocolate is as good as a hug and Mr NL is not at my house tonight

Mr Z- if I didn't know better, I might think you were not being cynical ... and chocolate blooming ... how long do you leave it man!!!! (I am fairly certain that it recovers if you melt it and use it as cake covering
, but you can't hand it on as a present for an unsuspecting relative )
Er, Bob ... Mr Z's in da'house ... Bob, I am already out of my depth0 -

Eat it. The white bloom is only fat. You taste with your tongue - not your eyes...NorthernLas wrote: »but you can't hand it on as a present for an unsuspecting relative )
People do become suspicious if you give them Easter eggs at Christmas...NorthernLas wrote: »Er, Bob ... Mr Z's in da'house ... Bob, I am already out of my depth
