A small shop for £11 for fresh fruit, milk etc I am sure it is getting more expensive.

That's about it for the morning. Now to have a refreshing cuppa and then tackle the house.

I order regularly from Approved Food, and have only had good experiences! My latest order arrived today: plenty of cereal bars which make great snacks when I am out and about, some muesli and lots of seeds, both of which I will add to my HM bread, staples like pasta and noodles, some coffee beans and a few extras like stuffed olives and curry powder. They pack things very well, I have never had a breakage, and the delivery company they are now using seem very reliable - when they email to let you know when they will be delivering (a one hour slot), they are pretty accurate. I reckon having an Approved Food order every couple of months (there are two of us) saves us quite a lot of money. Hope this helps someone...

  • Well i had a little thought today- as you do:D

I am looking at changing my mindset on a lot of things, i suppose anniversaries do that to you.:o I am not looking for sympathy or anything just putting some thoughts out there to mull over.

Despite having a busy life, i feel quite lonely. After coming back from meal the other night; Mr B promptly fell asleep on the sofa- no conversation nothing..as DS uploaded pics on fb, I thought that really the picture never tells the full story does it? He looked much older and tired, he is working long hours but i think the stress of not acknowledging things have taken their toll. We have had some help with our marriage, we needed it- but there are no quick fix solutions. I have to acknowledge that debt has played a huge part in our emotional well being.

I thought the only way forward is to shift as much as possible and that includes the mortgage. I have worked hard to improve our lives, tried not to argue as much ( he gets very distressed at this) and tried to look for constant ways to pay off the debt and mortgage more quickly.

So i thought a mind shift was in order- I first came on MSE via the mortgage board- and i think that the best way to look at the remaining debt is to place it all together with the mortgage( not as in re mortgaging) but as in total amount and look at overpaying everything. At least i will have one fixed amount in my head and psychologically may work better for me.

I have been reading diaries there, i always have got very motivated by them and want to look at long term goals re this. After all we have 10 years on the mortgage and i think if i approach it the way i have done the debts then that can be cleared in about 3 years, the whole lot. So i have thought long and hard about this and that is what i am going to do. Three years will give us both lots of options and i hope reduce the stress on us both.

Other than that a dreary day in our little corner of the world- the beans are loving it though and even the French runner beans have finally given in and starting to produce.
The tomatoes haven't reddened up yet, although we have had a couple that did and the taste was amazing, so worth doing and something i am going to plan ahead with next year.
House is looking spic and span- and i am plotting away about the home improvements.

As i say in the title an interesting day and i hope it is a simpler solution.
