Well some of it is because i have paid all the main expenses such as mortgage etc. Some of it is because of being able to reclaim back monies such as CC charges, and some of it is because he has made arrangements to pay with companies- but that has had an effect on our joint finances:o And yes, i did help out as in i took on some of the debt on 0% cards. It was a case of swim or sink i think.
The amount is still eyewatering and he is facing it daily at the moment- no not me grabbing him by the nunchackers until his eyes water:eek::rotfl: But him realizing that by he could have paid it all off years ago with the amount of money we had. Sad really.

It is sounding way better Hypno and it is pleasing to see. Long way to go- but that glimmer is tantalizingly closer:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Finished for hols- just have a few tutoring jobs lined up for extra dosh
Have to make a plan now for a few things.
Read meters and it is working out at around £8 per week at the moment and most of that is electricity. I don't think that is to bad at all. It is summer, but electricity consumption is usually the same. Gas - well we have central heating and fire, now gas hasn't been used much and most of it comes from turning on hot tap to wash hands, or dishes or have a bath( we mostly use shower) so we need to be aware of that because it takes a small amount of time to heat up water to wash hands- burning energy and then tap is turned off before hand- water is wasted as well. We are not on a water meter, but it is interesting to think of how much is wasted this way.
I could turn the boiler off and use kettle-which is probably quicker but not sure how that rates against using energy- i need to look into this more.
