You use Groupon stuff Squizz- are they any good?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Always been good when I've used it - mostly for restaurants and the occasional spa/ massage type thing. Have heard of the odd occasion where restaurants haven't honoured them (because they didn't count on so many people buying them) or restrict the number of Groupon people to so many per day/ night, but otherwise, all good!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Well the quest for a few more truffles has become quite interesting.
My tax affairs are a tad complicated as i was a carer for quite a few years, but being the determined soul that i am, i also wanted to keep my skills and keep a small foot on the rung of work. Due to this it seems i am owed quite a bit of tax from previous years, but because i remained on agency books and had no P45 then i am unable to get at said tax-even though i have said i no longer work for them.
So i get in touch with agency and ask for P45- to be told- ah- bit of a problem, because you haven't worked in past tax year for us, and indeed haven't since 2006 then we can't issue one. Ok so what is the next step? I have told tax office and they said i need P45, i have told them- who said tax office can ring to confirm details- i have been on website which basically re directs me back to Tax office and a long wait before they answer to be told the same ( our local office has shut) so i am a bit stymied as to how i proceed.
I have got tax rebate for this year and pension refund sorted BTW- just need previous years sorting.
It is very problematic.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Well it seems this Tax adviser will just write to them- after all of that, and another half hour wait on the phone. Hopefully it will get sorted now and i will have all my tax from previous years that i have overpaid reimbursed. At least this will see me through for a while and even pay something off.
Phew amazing what one day off can get sorted...NEXT
So i can recommend everyone look at Martin's tax calculator.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
