i use cheap old Thomas litter - it is dusty and T kicks it ALL over the place...but nearly every litter has its draw backs. i just wish i could teach them to use the loo...they are Siamese, they should have the intelligence to learn that trick...but oh no, they just want to play fetch all the time instead!0

i use the tesco cheap stuff, we have 13 cats, rescues mostly, 6 ferals, that we fostered and ended up not so feral, the litter works for us
my cats play fetch too, great fun, cept when its early in the morning and one puts toy on my face, then taps me, mine (two)are rescue moggies, my horse plays fetch also,THANKS to everyone who posts competitions. you are all :A.0 -

Another vote for Tesco's own brand, £1.25 for a 10 litre bag. Clean looking and easy to maintain.
Whatever you do, do not buy Asda's own brand, £1.19 for a 10litre bag. It is heavy, dark, becomes saturated quickly and is just YUK to look at and deal with,0 -

We kept getting catsan because we were getting vouchers for it with the cat food, but to be honest, we didn't rate its odour reducing qualities, and it doesn't clump so basically it was a pain.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I actually like catsan, it's odour reducing qualities are definately better than the cheap brands and the bag is enough to do 2 or 3 trays... On the clumping side of things... Sadly DH has taken on litter tray duty since he knocked me up so it's not something I have the pleasure of anymore...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I either use Tesco antibacterial or the Catsan one as at the moment it is cheaper than the Tesco one! As I am PG OH now does the litter - he removes solids every couple of days and changes the whole thing once a week. It doesn;t really smell but she does kick it all over the kitchen floor so I have to sweep up every day. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

We have 2 indoor cats and use Bob martin litter crystals and i don't think we'd ever go back to using any other kind of litter, one bag last's a month in the tray, you just remove solids and the cystals asbsorb all the urine and there's no smell whatsoever, in fact people who've come into the house comment on how they never even noticed that they were sat next to the litter tray....and there's no dusty tracks left coming in and out of the tray...
It's brilliant!! The only downside it if you come downstairs barefoot and tread on a stray crystal it hurts like hell!!!0 -
I use wilkinsons clumping litter £1.79 for 10 litres i think, lasts about 2 weeks, i do keep the tray quite full though & empty it as soon as hes been or as soon as im home.
Quite like the sound of the crystals HypnoNu, how much are they? Dont know if Tigger will like them & with the clumping litter I like being able to get rid of the wee easily!0
