Monday 4th July - What small DFW things will you be doing today??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Goood morning everyone - hope you all had lovely weekends and that the sun was shining wherever you are:dance:
I had a bit of a spendy day on Saturday - took youngest daughter shopping:o But it was a lovely day and we did buy goodies in the sales. Lovely new half proce PJs for me;)
Ok, I got up earlier today so must crack on and make the most of it...here's my list:
Ok, have a fab day everyone:A

Hello all!

Orangefairy - good luck on your health kick! Whats on the plan?
Tebheag - welcome to the thread!
thanks for starting us off, pix
Sorry for being MIA over the weekend - I was too busy recapturing my misspent youth to come online
I was out dancing until 4 am both Friday and Saturday - i don't think I've ever done that twice in a row before! Was great fun and very inexpensive as I dont drink much these days. Very relaxing days, first at an early fourth of july 'do and on Sunday a movie at a friends house. Roommate gave me a motorcycle lesson too - its taking me ages to get used to the gears, but if I can get good enough to drive one around it will make my life so much easier! I'll need something smaller than his though as its huge and I cant lift it myself.
Also got pictures from a friend back in the UK whos just had a baby - hes sent me photos of the little guy wrapped in the blanket I crocheted! AWWWW!! So cute.
Anyway, list for today:- be a hard nosed negotiator at work :P rawr!
- public transport into the office
- mealplan and do a quick food shop for week
- make dinner plans
- grin and bear lunch provided by work
- walk or public transport home
- order bras from M and S online to send to my office in the UK for someone to carry here for me - i've lost nearly 15 pounds since I've been here and am positively popping out of my current ones!
Happy monday, all!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000
Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Morning all, hope you've all had nice weekends.
I'm not looking forward to today after my nice chilled weekend... office is stuffy so it makes me sleepy and I'm just looking forward to my interview Friday as I'm so fed up with this job. Not appreciated and not enough work to do other than data entry, it's really bringing me down.
Stuff for the day:-
- LSD - Just need a bottle of water for my walking later
- Free exercise - Going to do 20 mins at lunch and 40 mins after work with my friend
- [STRIKE]Food from home[/STRIKE]
- Update budget
- [STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE]
- Free water/coffee at work, but only 1 coffee today as trying to cut down on caffeine
- Try and feel a bit more positive

Save up £500 - £0/£500

Morning peeps! Looks like it's gonna be another gorgeous day! Here's today's plan:
- Phone tax credits to renew and change circumstances - It seems like I am just not meant to get ahold of them. My landline is supposed to be changed over from the post office to sky today, but somehow lines have been crossed and I have someone else's number (only found out when a guy tried calling his house and got ours instead) and I don't want to phone an 0845 number on his number in case he gets charged instead of me
- [STRIKE]Check pureprofile[/STRIKE]
-[STRIKE] Make shopping list from meal plan[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Go shopping and stick to list[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Hang washing on line that I washed last night[/STRIKE]
- Wash another load of laundry on a cold, quick wash at a low spin speed Need to go around the house and gather a few more things to make a full load
- [STRIKE]Pay child minder [/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Pay left over money off of overdraft[/STRIKE] Transferred £17!
- Dinner from meal plan (CYO pizza from Asda) In oven0 -
