Palladium was another option as it's cheaper than platinum but supposedly harder wearing than gold but I wasn't sure - does your OH do a lot of manual work? Just thinking maybe that's why his has scratched more. My OH also wants something with brushed metal. Hmm more research is needed me thinks, but thank you anyway that's very helpful

Hi my DH has a brushed white gold ring mainly as I am not keen on jewelery on men so wanted something slighly discrete. It is five yrs old and look as good as new. My ring was made to fit my engagement ring was from a guy we found at a wedding fair he did a great job not sure what shape to call mine but the diamond is in the middle and then I ends of the ring joining it at different sides almost looks like a z !!!
